How long does it take for a seller to receive cleared payments when a buyer pays for an item using a Credit Card

I paid for an item I bought through auction on Boxing day December 26, 2012, using my Credit Card. As ar December 31, 2012 the seller says he has not received payment.

Why is it taking so long? How long should it take? Please let me know. Thanks.

Hi.. Credit card payments are almost instant to seller.

Do you have a PayPal account. What does it show for the payment. Complete , seller has received. Unclaimed , seller has an issue and a cancel will show in actions.

Have you checked that your card has been charged.

I would not be surprised if your seller has an incorrect or closed email account number attached to his Paypal account. Tell him to check what his PP account gives as his email/paypal name and cross check that with the name you paid to.
