I bought something 'privatly" from an ebay member, so not thru an ebay transaction.

I bought something advertised on ebay privatly from an ebay member.  I can't leave feedback the conventional way as the transaction wasn't done thru ebay.  How can I tell others what I thought of the guy & how the transaction went?

Basically, this guy charged me more than double (both is price & in shipping) what he charged someone else for the same item.

Unfortunately, you cannot. That is the reason it is a strictly prohibited practise on ebay. The next time another member tries to take the deal off-site, use the Report link at the bottom of the Message. This sort of transaction is highly frowned upon by ebay; they will take action.

If you want to return the item, you'll have to go to paypal now, assuming you used paypal to pay for it.

If you bought something 'outside' the sight and he charged you double the postage and double the original price why on earth did you buy it? You were under no obligation to do so. You should have simply stopped communicating with them and as you've already been told, turned the guy in!
