Interesting topic & I guess every seller copes it differently--much depending on our merchandise & prices, we attract different types of buyers.
I sell silk & high end fabric, so my sellers, i assume, are mature middle-aged women with steady income & maybe a little bit extra $$$.
Newbies (0-5 feedbacks) that come to my store, believe it or not, are unbelievably risky!
All the purpose no-payer or late-payer (over 7 days) I've had so far, about 15-20, are all newbies, without exception....(Just to clarify, all no-payers are newbies, but not all newbies are no-payers.)
Can you believe it?
I am under the strong impression that many newbies, at least for my silks, are actually suspended bad-apples under a new ID.
Because fabrics are not the most suitable thing for online-shopping, unlike books & electronics, the chances to run into a real 1st-timer is slim.
Once again, I repeat my point: many newbies, at least in my store, are suspended habitual no-payer under a new ID.
How to deal with them? I don't cancel their bid, but I do take the time to email you & pay extra attention....If no pay, I religiously follow the rule & make sure they get strike & warn other sellers with negative feedbacks. I even took time to email other sellers.
3 refused to pay & were all suspended by me so far.
4th is on the way.
Yes, I really enjoy getting those irresponsible people out of ebay & have justice done. 🙂
