🙂 Hello fellow powersellers! 😉 I'm a new powerseller as of yesterday May 18 and just thought I should introduce myself to all of you. My name is Gloria. I'm pleased to meet all of you! 🙂 I'm very excited to start my venture as a powerseller although at the same time a slight bit nervous. This is all new to me, well the powerseller aspect is. As for Ebay well I'm very experienced in that both selling and buying. I'm also very knowledgeable with HTML and can create Ebay templates and do create my own templates for my Ebay items. If anyone has any helpful tips and hints that I perhaps need to know to assist me in getting used to this powerseller stuff please feel free to share I would appreciate it very much. Ok well I won't talk all your ears off now, I'll wait and do that once I get to know you all better...hehehehehehe. Have a good one all and HAVE FUN! 🙂 It's my pleasure meeting you all.

They are supposed to mail you a certificate of achievement for reaching powerseller status. It is supposed to be signed by Bill Cobb, a higher up at Ebay. I've been a powerseller for 3 years and still have not received anything, a few other have though.

I was just letting you know that there are no tangible benefits to being a powerseller other than chatting on this board. Oh yeah wait, there is one benefit, Ebay may now legally turn over your yearly sales figures to Ebay if they ask, whereas if you were not a powerseller they would not.

Hi Tea, thanks for the info. No I haven't received a certificate as of yet but then again I just became a powerseller yesterday so I don't suppose I'll receive it this quickly! LOL If ever that is. By the sounds of it I may not even get one if you haven't. I guess with Ebay some are luckier then others. You deserve your certificate so why don't you email Ebay and request yours if you haven't already done so. You've given Ebay 7 years of your life the least they could do is honour you!

Oh tea now I'm not sure about this powerseller stuff. I was all excited and now by reading this discussion board am not sure what I've gotten myself into! LOL I'm sure you will be interested in hearing about it in a few months. I will more then likely have my say by then. It's just like when you first start on Ebay and you get your first bids in and you get all excited. Then months down the road you start to see everything that can and does go wrong and your enthusiasm starts to dwindle and fade. I'm sure the same will happen with my Powerseller status excitement. But for now I'm going to bask in it! LOL Thanks Phil and it's a pleasure to meet you! 🙂

Unfortunately with all of eBay's changes the Power Sellers Program isn't going to be quite what it used to be because as of the BEGINNING of JULY 2008, one will need the detailed seller rating (DSRs) of 4.5 or higher in all four DSRs (item as described, communication, shipping time, and shipping & handling charges). If a seller no longer complies with any one of the above requirements, they are removed from the program.

Thank you all for your congrats and your info and imput. I'm not sure how you all feel aobut the detailed seller rating (DSRs) but i'm against them. A buyer can put anything they want with those little stars. As for us sellers I feel we should be able to rate our buyers in much the same way. Why don't buyers have to have detailed buyers ratings? Doesn't make sense to me. We sellers should be able to rate the buyers performance as well. I mean we have to deal with some awful buyers at times and some are just down right rude and difficult to the point where nothing you do pleases them. Then of course most are wonderful but I'm sure we've all had our fill of difficult buyers.

Hi Gloria and Welcome! Don't feel bad, I've been a Powerseller on and off for 3 years, but never have gotten my certificate.:_|

I'm new to these boards though - with all the changes going on, I feel the need to be surrounded by people who understand the insanity of being an Ebay seller.
