Just wondering if any members can give me some advice on my listings.

Is there any seasoned sellers out there that have the time to give me some advice about my listings. Here are a couple I have going now  141209378424 and 131141489380. I have been selling and buying for years and was wondering if there are some better ways for me to sell. To improve my sales. I have just started with FREE SHIPPING. Cannot say that it is helping but it has not hurt.  At this time I will only ship to Canada and USA. Have had some bad experiences in the past and not willing to try it again at this time.

In my opinion drop the: "Or free as some call it......" - if you want to say anything at all about the shipping.....

Thanks have dropped and will not use again. Should I even state shipping is included in the price.

The Willys Jeep. You are not using all 80 characters in the title. How old is it? From what Year? Model number? Size? Age?

There is a lot you are competing against and you are not telling me why your Jeep is worth many times other toys are. Here are some competitors.

If you have to explain to me why yours is more valuable, why isn't that in the title and listing?

Coloured font is annoying. Use black on white.

You have an okay listing, but, there is no hook that gets me. Look at your, no, search for your listing as a buyer would. Would you buy this based on your listing?

I myself dropped all text referring to shipping in the description. Ebay has it in a couple places that it is free....

PS I use colour fonts but only to emphasize something in my listing with only the emphasized words coloured....and I have lessened the amount of coloured text that I use.

(If you are looking at my lots, use the ones ending in .99 cents generally they are the newest version of my listing style)

Ric, if I may, refer to this listing of yours.

I like it. OP, see the use of bullet points. Short words. Short sentences. Lots of hooks to get me to buy.

Easy to read and conveys a lot of information. Actually, I really like it. I'm going to steal, er, um, borrow some of the ideas.

qc:  You have 8 watchers on that jeep, and that's an indication that it's caught the eye of collectors.

That makes me think that you have a least some idea about what you're doing.

It didn't take long to see that Lincoln Toys are hot, but your piece isn't stamped and that will be a BIG problem.

If it is what you claim it is, and your price is in fact where it should be, then you still need someone in the know to buy it because it's not stamped.

If it's the right item you can list it in any text you want and make every mistake in the book and collectors will find it.

As for the gloves:  You're selling second hand gloves and things like that take time to sell unless your prices are rock bottom.

Mr E: glad you liked it, it is one of the "longer" descriptions I use, I kept that one so long because it is a "generic" mix. Please feel free to borrow ideas etc anytime! (PS http://www.ebay.com/itm/201041010141?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649#ht_455wt_84... is an example of the shorter text style)

Qcte... as a side note, many of the changes to my "new style" came from myself doing just the same thing as you are doing here, I asked for advice a couple months ago and got lots of good suggestions....none of us have been here long enough to know everything....

Actually I found the text easier to look at in the Willy's Jeep listing (green text) than in the skateboard gloves listing (black text on white).  It's a matter of preference, I suppose, unless it's like some of the listings I've seen over the years with crazy combinations like purple on pink or something like it.

Colour blind cannot see all colours. " Color blindness affects a significant percentage of the population."

I could be wrong but a colour blind person would still see it, but as a shade of grey I believe instead of whatever colour we see. Different colours to us are different shades of grey to them I believe....

I am a newer seller as well and have been experimenting with various selling tactics.  It is hard to say what works and what doesn't because for me it seems that various tactics only work for certain items.  A lot of your listing look good to me.  Best thing to do is listen to everyone's experience as I am trying to do from others comments.  Good luck with selling!
