About 5 months ago my husband put a new toner cartridge in my laser printer. It was supposed to do 2,500 pages. Yesterday it started doing "striped" printing. My husband is away, and I can't get to a store to get another. It should be lasting a lot longer than this, at the most I do 80 pages a month.
Any ideas please?

That's usually the trick, but be careful how you shake it -- gently side to side and back to front is generally sufficient. The reason is that the toner sometimes gets "piled up" in one area, often during storage or shipping.
Just don't turn it upside down or end to end and shake the heck out of it or you'll have toner all over the room and yourself!

Thank you both SO much, that worked fine. This is the first time I have had a laser printer, always had an ink jet in the past.
I was very concerned about doing Paypal labels in case they couldn't be read.
I appreciate all the help I get on the forum so much!

Ours should be fine, it came directly from Samsung, we got the extra one when we got the printer.

Yes mr elmwood, it came with a starter cartridge, we had purchased a second new one that we are using now, the first one finished, but I think now I might just have needed to shake it, it may have lasted longer.
