Mistaken Identity ?

Real Weird. This Morning I received 4 Second Chance Offers on Items I had never heard of. I deleted them, then changed myeBay Password, just in case.

This Evening I received an eBay Message turning down an offer to sell someone furniture 'I' had (NOT) made off of eBay.
This time I replied that they had the wrong ID & person.

I've checked & found no Bids in my name that weren't me & also looked @ my Auctions posted & see nothing out of place ?

Is there anything else I can / should do ?
Should I be worried ?

It's a fairly common scam going on now. Forward the emails you have received to spoof@ebay.com making sure the header is intact. You did the right thing by changing your password. You may also want to change your email and Paypal passwords as well. Otherwise, don't worry too much about it.

I've been getting at least 3 or 4 of these scam emails from addressed from either ebay or paypal. Just remember to NEVER open any links. Some of these emails look like the real thing but don't be fooled. As snoopwiz said just forward them to spoof@ebay or spoof@paypal. They will usually confirm that they are false within 5 minutes. If Paypal or ebay needs any info. from you it will always be indicated in the actual sites.

And, if in doubt, hover over the links in most email programs. If the 'hover text' that pops up doesn't match, or has an IP address (1xx.xxx.xxx.xxx) in it, then its a spoof email.

There's no need to change your passwords UNLESS you accidentally opened up one of these links and entered your login credentials.
