Hi I want to list some sewing patterns that I have. They are all uncut, factory folded patterns with all the instructions in the envelopes as though they came from the store. They may have a little shelf wear on the outside packaging.
Some sellers have listed them as new and some as used. What do you think?
Any help would be appreciated.

I would probably call them New Old Stock. They have not been used but have lying around for awhile. I had some old buttons on cards which I listed as new old stock. Hope that helps.

There is no choice of New Old Stock.
In addition, these patterns are usually from seamstresses who just never used them, although there may be notes on the package including a No Returns rubberstamp with the original vendor's name.
New Old Stock would be the right choice, or at any rate better than what we have.
But I scan all my pattern envelopes, and then list them as New, since they have not been used.
The point is that the buyer does not have to worry that the pieces have been modified for custom fitting. For example a Size 10 bodice and a Size 16 skirt.
Watch out for Vogue Designer patterns. They mention a special label on the package, but they are never included since they were to be picked up at the shop counter.
Oh and Issey Miyake? Good prices on some of those.

If they are still factory folded and uncut, I list them as new. I have never had a problem with that. The same applies to vintage craft books, if they are in perfect condition, I list as new and put "new condition" in the description.

I think you should try listing them as new. If you do list as new, make sure to put in your description why you listed it that way.

I was just listing some vintage patterns, and realized that in the vintage category there was the option for "new". I think we need an "unused" option.

Thanks everyone for your answers. I have listed them as New. In my description, I have put this statement. I have about 100 of them so wish me luck. My experience is with CD's not patterns.
This is a never used "new" sewing pattern, "NEW OLD STOCK". The pattern pieces are still factory-folded. The envelope shows a bit of wear, the flap is not cut, no writing or stamp. This pattern includes instruction sheet, and all printed pattern pieces.
