OMG these pants from China are not made like normal pants...

So I bought these pants and was excited I found my size 38x38 is very hard to find.

I put them on and lo and behold, the seat is missing at least 4 to 5 inches compared to your average north american pants.

Check out this picture I did for the seller to explain the problem...

There is no mention in the items page that the seat is way below average.

Shipping cost to return it and get a refund still mean I am out of money regradless of returning it so I am at a loss of what to do.

Just like the aquarium UV filter I bought that had a non-functioning light.... so now I have 2 useless things that if I ship them back and get refunds I am still out of pocket for the value of the items due to the shipping costs which are ridiculous.

What is considered "average" in China may be different than what is "average" in North America.

Any country where most people are consistently of a type will have quirks in sizing.

The British woman's figure is fairly small waisted, compared to a French woman, who is also somewhat flatter chested. Dutch women are much taller than most Europeans. West Africans have "back" as the song goes. But not East Africans.

And then there are "designer" items, where the sizing is flattering. I wear pants four sizes smaller when I pay over $200 compared to the $40 pants from the Sears catalogue. I wonder if I paid over $1000 for pants, I could have Size Zero?

Not everyone, and all of the above is stereotypical, but if you can't try it on, don't pay too much for it.

As for your problem, you could donate the pants to your favourite thrift, or you could resell them on eBay with careful measurements given.

I'm sorry for your problem.......but (maybe I have a warped sense of humour) - I thought when you said the seat was missing, I thought (really) the back side was missing! womanlol:  I had to read it a couple of times to get what you meant!!

The pants look nice and as you said, you must have been thrilled seeing them when you say your size is hard to find.  Clothing from China as I've posted before is a challenge, that's for sure.  Don't know about men's stuff, but womens are shown on tiny, tiny models and the description, although I must say they really try to describe sizes for the North American market is still hit or miss.

I've been fairly lucky in this regard, except in a couple of cases where, on my small frame, I couldn't get the stupid thing over my HEAD! or chest......and I'm certainly NOT Dolly!  I never buy expensive items from China (never really seen any) but I buy knowing that of course it would be too expensive to send back.  I donate to good good causes, which I've always done, long before eBay.

But as I said before, if you are a "difficult" size like you say you are, that's really frustrating.

I got screwed over from a vendor in china with cycling outfit. I tell you their 3xl is like a large here. Presently in mediation as I want a partial refund that vendor offered but did not honour. Sending back to china was about seventy dollars. No way. I will never deal with a vendor from china again.
