WOW, these posted by AVTOUCH and cited below are exactly my thoughts.
"I REALLY want to hold USD in my account, but currently there is NO single way to transfer my paypal USD to my USD business acount at RBC. I know RBC Centura has true USD account, but that is for personal, not for business, thus I cannot use it!
I believe most canadian paypal sellers accept USD as the primay currency, so this is a big problem us the sellers!"
I have an account in USD and I receive payments in USD, I don't want to loose a penny on the exchange. It would be nice if PayPal will keep USD funds in USD and allow us, Canadians, to withdraw or transfer them in USD.
Now, here are my other concerns:
I am feeling REALLY uncomfortable giving out my bank info for PAyPal verification process. As it was mentioned here, it is NOT safer than a credit card, trust me, I am in finance and banking field.
Second,
When I lived in the States and when I just started dealing with PAyPal, I had some limit for the payments too. Fair enough, it was just a very beginning. What I don't understand, is WHY!! when I moved to Canada, I have just that funny 1 000 CAD of the sending limit! I guess this should be changed too because aren't we a country with a freedom of choice?)
Third,
I don't like the fact that when I mov to Canada, I can no longer use my US PayPal account simply because PAyPal will not allow me to change the american billing address for my american credit card to my canadian billing address for the same american credit card. You folks say that it's your policy or your software? C'mon, american banks don't see a problem changing my american billing info to canadian and sending me bills here.
You just force me to abandon or close my american PayPal account. Where is the point?
I guess this part of the policy should be revised too, you may use the same methods of security as banks do when they change customers' billing address.
