Some tips for organizing Unsold Items (will ebay jettison them after 3 months if they R not re-listed ? ) & any way to retreive "lost" ones

As I have over 60 things to sell and I only put up 12 or so  per week ( to meet the 50 per month free listing limit ) and also because I am not exactly the most organized person, sometimes I find it confusing finding the unsold items that are next in line to re-list. Any suggestions ?

Should I be copy and pasting these ads on  (for example) an OpenOffice document page to avoid having to write up the ads again if ebay eventually  "terminates" them ? And can the expired ads be retrieved in any way ( a longshot question to be sure ! ) ?

Thanks

Hi knick-knack2949 http://pages.ebay.ca/help/sell/advanced_selling_tools.htmlhttp://pages.ebay.ca/help/sell/turbo-lister-ov.html

Have you read the "Terms & Conditions" of the 50 Free Listing promotion?

If not you need to, reason..ebay will at times require you to use the SYI (Sell Your Item) Form that is located at the top right of ANY eBay page OR they will require you to use other eBay selling tools..Example ..Turbo Lister, Selling Manager, Selling Manager Pro, 3rd party, etc... in order to get the promotion.

Some of these tools are Free (SYI Form, and TL (Turbo Lister) and some 3rd party ones as well.

Others like Selling Manager, Selling Manager Pro you have to subcribe to and pay a monthly fee for the use of them.

In the link below is a comparision chart to view information about them:

I use TL (Turbo Lister) its Free..you can make up your listing without being online, save it and edit / revise / schedule it as many times you like, in the link below is some information about TL:

So if ebay puts a restriction on what tool to use I just open up a listing in my already made up listing in TL and copy and paste the information in the SYI form listing. yes it does at times its a bit of hassels, after the listing goes on live then I sync my TL that are up and running and now have a permanate record (Sold or unsold) that you can keep forever to relist "IF" ebay promotion allows you to use on the next promotion.

I use the Add a Note option to tell me the dates I have listed my Unsold items.

I also use it to note if the item is listed on eBaydotCOM or eBaydotCA. Did you know that you can list 50 auctions free on each of those sites?

What you can't do is relist a dotCOM listing to dotCA. But you could have the same item ready for dotCOM listing and a similar listing for the same item ready for dotCA and switch between them-- if you are very careful and organized 😛

But with 60 items available for sale but not been listed, have you looked into going for a Store with fixed price listings? The cost would be $16 monthly plus $12.00 for 60 listings. Each listing would last a full 30 days with less work (and you can do a Good Til Cancelled which will automatically relist the items).

$28 a month for less work and a longer availability.  Sound good?

Even though most of my products are one of a kind, I still keep a copy, with HTML coding in a desktop file for future use. And that file is backed up on a CD.

Belt and suspenders.
