I have committed to buy but even after two emails the seller does not add the shipping cost to the invoice. So I still have not paid. I do not want to just leave this unresolved as it may negatively affect my buyer feedback. Cannot understand why they will not add shipping or respond.

The seller cannot leave you negative feedback.
Now. It is a long weekend (I think the Americans are celebratingMemorial Day,as well as our own Victoria Day) so maybe he is just away opening the cottage.
However, if you have an invoice with a price on it, treat it as if you have Free Shipping and pay it.
Maybe it is Free Shipping. Problem solved.
Maybe the seller will refund the incorrect payment and rebill you with the correct one. Problem solved.
If you pay, and the seller refunds, he cannot open an Unpaid Item complaint. Problem solved.
You have up to four days to pay before any sort of complaint can be opened against you, and 60 days to leave feedback.
Hmm. The usual reason that no shipping fee appears is that the seller does not sell to your location. Did you, before bidding, check that he will ship to Canada, does not use the insanely expensive Global Shipping Program and will ship by USPS/Canada Post? If not, you may get a terrible shock when you learn how much the shipping will be.

Hi ..seller's feedback can only be positive and nothing negative can occur unless seller was to file an unpaid dispute.
Friday into a long weekend , i just wouldn't sweat it until after. Seller also charges tax, so need the invoice.
If necessary , could call...advanced search..find contact information.
