so I just sold something to someone earlier today and I got a message saying the buyer made a mistake.
buyer said . - "make a mistake ! I don't give you the right adress ! I move last week and i forgot to change my adress ! CAN you change it Please ?"
Not thinking about it I said sure he gave the address I haven't mailed it i'm doing that tomorrow. Now I've thought more about it as I have time and it seems fishy is there anything I could get from the buyer to make sure it's not a stolen account.
The province of both addresses are the same. and buyer has perfect feedback. with 12 purchases in this month.
any info would be great , thanks!

I've had people request the same thing because they forgot to change their address and I've mailed their item to them without a problem. If it is an expensive item, I might handle it differently.

I ship anywhere buyers ask and I don't care if it qualifies for Seller Protection or not.
I assume it's one of your $3 games that you would be mailing via untraceable Lettermail so you wouldn't be covered by Seller Protection even if the address was the one that came with the payment.

I wouldn't worry about it given the low value of the item.
But you should politely encourage the customer to add his new address to his Paypal account. It is the PP address that is important and it does not actually have to match the eBay address because; gift shipments.

On today's eBay...
You add as many addresses as you want onto your list of addresses on eBay... Select your Primary Shipping Address... Buy and Pay.
The address on Paypal is linked to the Primary Shipping Address on eBay.
The address on Paypal cannot be changed...

The address on Paypal cannot be changed...
Sure it can, as long as the address is in the same country!

Once someone makes a purchase on eBay.and pays using Paypal .. the Primary Shipping Address on eBay becomes the mailing address on Paypal.
The address for this transaction and on Paypal cannot be changed on Paypal
This prevents someone from buying something on eBay with a Canadian address and paying for shipping to a Canadian destination and then asking the seller to ship to an international address.
The link between the primary shipping address on eBay and the address on Paypal is fixed and the mailing address cannot be changed on Paypal
I have only recently learned this and have used this relationship for several transactions.

That's a BIG change!
Paypal has been quite good about 'gift addresses' in the past, as long as the 'giftee' is in the same country.
Was there an announcement about that?

The eBay primary shipping address being used by PayPal has been around for years. Since the 5+ years ago when I started on eBay.
I believe recped and others explained this years ago in these forums. I know I read it years ago and many times since. Someone posted screenshots of how to do this in the past year or so.
The main advantage of using multiple addresses in eBay was that it was not restricted to country of the eBay site registered to. PayPal has that restriction for alternative address.

My registered address at eBay is different from the primary address used by PayPal.
It was last month and still is today.
When I changed my address at eBay (from my PO Box to my street address) PayPal did not change my primary address.
Two recent purchases were sent to my PayPal address (which is my old eBay address).
