If you know the seller's ID and you click on the teeny words Site Map on the bottom of this page, over on the right where it says Connect under the heading Community, using the Find a Member link should work.

Aaaah, you've got the disguised version.  And that does not seem like a seller, but another bidder on an item you have seen.  Ebay assigns psuedo-disguises to our user IDs when we bid.  It keeps scammers from finding who we are.

The way ebay describes it, they use an anonymous version of derived from your user ID, like x***y.  That is why you can't find the person, you don't have the whole ID.  Well, for example, yesterday I won this: 251106261269.  I am the winning bidder, but you can see it is not my whole ID, only a partial.  So until you have the person's complete user ID, alas, you will not be able to find her.
