i am trying to sell an item but it does not let me enter any category. why is that?

i have sold before but now it just does not let me enter any category, as if they were non available...

There are restrictions on new sellers both on what and how much they can sell.

This is not really personal,it is based on scammers who were listing a ton of stuff, taking the money and disappearing.

You may be restricted by type of product or by value of product.

Do you have something that is not vintage medical equipment? Try entering that- if it works then the restriction is on the product line.

Unwanted advice- try adding the word "steampunk" to your title for those instruments. If you are not aware of the aesthetic movement, you can google it.
