removal of neutral feedback, if I provide my buyer with ability to revise feedback

after 14 years dealing with 1st non-positive feedback, my buyer left the feedback "OK" along with his neutral feedback, I have not left any feedback for my buyer as yet. I attempted to ask buyer if he would reconsider, or if there was aspect of the 1 dollar transaction which we might have done that didn't warrant his positive rating. I also regrettably mentioned that all the feedback this buyer left for his purchases this year was "neutral". In hindsight my buyer quite correctly said it was not my place to make such observations, and I was not a polite person. I decided to apologize for my statement, he was right this was not my place to say that, I also pointed out that since I had not left any feedback for our transaction, was he certain that he wanted me to provide my feedback on the transaction, or would he consider removing his feedback.  He replied asks did I want him to do; my question is does offering the feedback option to my buyer, risk the option that my buyer might replace neutral feedback with negative feedback, or what route would be the best to proceed at this point?

Am I to understand your buyer has left NEUTRAL feedback for everyone?

If so, call ebay to have yours removed as this clearly is a member whose purpose is to wreck other member's feedback.

Oh, and to the best of my understanding, a revised feedback can't be made worse (as in neutral to negative) but the words could.

Well the comment that I made which was the source of my causing the buyer to be offended was, all the feedback he provided in 2015 was neutral, he left feedback for 3 transactions, including mine, and all 3 were 'Neutral', the written feedback was "ok" "ok" & "good". I did mention this to CS @ eBay, and there response was something to the effect of, who am I to question my buyers perception of those transactions. The buyer paid for the item at 10pm on Saturday nite, by 10:55 pm 55 mins later I sent him a message along with picture of front and back of the envelope stating that his item had been sent to him. The only communication from this buyer was 11 am on the Sunday morning asking 'how long before we are going take to ship the item', I politely replied perhaps he missed the email I sent him the evening before, but we had already sent the item 55 minutes after it was paid.

Off Topic but:

I LOVE the little note on one of your pictures: "Why wait 28 days for delivery from China?'  <giggle>

If you can, call again and ask to speak to a supervisor. We are allowed to appeal defects we feel are unjust. It sounds as if this guy is difficult to please and hardly your fault. Also a bit like revenge bidding.

removal of neutral feedback, if I provide my buyer with ability to revise feedback

On Monday, I spent a total of 4.75 hours over 3 calls, my cell automatic ends calls at 120min mark, the 3rd call I finally got through to the feedback appeal department. When he stated he wanted to help, however the fact that buyer only leaves neutral feedback, the fact that you provided evidence that item was shipped in 55 mins after payment, and the fact that this buyer has not complained about anything is all irrelevant. I asked if I could appeal his decision or if I could speak to someone else, I was told there were "no appeals". I am by sure I could endure another 4.5 hrs unless I have a clear breach of rules in hand. I appreciate the answers, and your feedback.

That sounds like a truly terrible experience and you have my sympathy and empathy.

I recently had a similar case at the hands of the feedback/defect removal department that so disillusioned me, I opted to start the process of moving my business off-site with the goal of leaving here entirely by the summer when my store contract expires. It would take a miracle at this point to change my intended course of action. I hope that you can join ebay Community Board Hour next Wednesday at 1 pm EST to share your experience with the lone ebay Canada staffer who is on-hand to vet concerns like yours from ebay buyers and sellers.

If the Customer Service for sellers (which should be Seller Support) is so inadequate and poor that sellers are being put-off ebay because of it, ebay should know about it. If you ge the chance, you can read about my own tale of woe at http://community.ebay.ca/t5/Seller-Central/And-now-for-something-completely-different-Last-night-I-l...

I did read the link you forwarded, we certainly did encounter a not dissimilar emotional trajectory on the exact same issue. And perhaps even more so then you are aware, in the last few hours, my buyer also did retract his feedback. In my case, leaving all personal details aside, I asked my buyer if he wanted me to leave him feedback on the transaction, as I had not left any, he simply said no, he didn't and retracted his neutral, now I am unaware of the EBay policy on the approach I took, but as pure legal matter. My apron he might have been perceived in a manner that was ideal.

Thanks for your help, and support.
