Advice is needed about US to Canada shipment via Global Shipping Center

Hi All

Recently I've purchased an item (quite expensive DSLR camera). It was tracking fine for a couple of days until weird things started. Four days in a row (Jul 28 - Jul 31, 2019) USPS would send automated messages "In Transit - In Transit to Next Facility" precisely at 12:00AM.

On Jul 29, 2019 "Processing at the Global Shipping Center" pops up. And the silence....

I contacted seller few days ago, and they opened a ticket with USPS, which came out with "Your item was likely delivered to the global shipping company on 7/27 and we failed to capture the scan." Fine! But wouldn't one expect PB to show their normal tracking updates such as "Arrived to GSC", "Customs documentation and labeling", "With destination carrier" etc.? I've heard normally GSC takes 1-5 business days to complete processing the item and ship it to the destination.

What are my options at this point other then waiting for a few more days to start "Item Not Received" process?

Could anyone share any info in this regard?

Erlanger KY is the GSP plant.

Your seller's responsibility for delivery is now over.

Thank her for her help.

Watching tracked shipments is like watching sausages being made. You really shouldn't.

@unison worked this out for buyers who have not yet received their GSP shipment.
TRACKING SYSTEM FOR GSP
I found this thread today while awaiting a shipment. Once I learned that Pitney Bowes was the relevant company, I was able to find my package's tracking info in about 10 seconds.

Step 1: Go to the Pitney Bowes Parcel Tracker page at https://parceltracking.pb.com/app/#/dashboard/

Step 2: Enter your eBay-supplied Global Tracking number (mine began with UPAA...)

Step 3: You will be shown limited tracking info. In my case, only up to the point the package left the USA and entered Canada.

Step 4: Click on the "Track on carrier's website" link at the top right.

Step 5: You will be provided with tracking on the page of the actual shipping company, in my case Canada Post, with a tracking number in THEIR system.

Problem solved! If only eBay would put a link to in their ship

https://parceltracking.pb.com/app/#/dashboard/ping emails,

this could all be avoided...

BTW what most people don't realize about tracking is that it shows where the shipment has been-- not where it is.

And while it has been six days since the last update, we just came off a long weekend during which Canada Post was on short staff and not delivering.

Thank you for reply.

This is how's the normal PB shipment tracking looks like, which is not in my case. I've ordered tens of items via GSP, and none had any exceptions.

Step 1: Go to the Pitney Bowes Parcel Tracker page at https://parceltracking.pb.com/app/#/dashboard/

And of course, if the shipment is past the date eBay gave you for delivery, open an Item Not Received Dispute and ask for a GSP specialist.

You have 30 days after that last date to do this.

For buyers, tracking is a diversion and a way to give them the warm fuzzies.

Tracking is a Seller Protection.

If the seller (or in this case PitneyBowes/GSP) cannot prove delivery, you will be refunded.

If the item shows up later, GSP doesn't want it , the seller has been paid for it, and you have an ethical dilemma about what to do with both item and money.

The earlier successful delivery took 14 days.

The current shipment will probably be in your hands by Friday.

There's a thread about a situation very similar to yours from not all that long ago:

https://community.ebay.ca/t5/Buyer-Central/Questions-about-shipment-from-USA-to-Canada/m-p/425599

I think we're looking at a similar situation: The tracking information just has to play catch-up. It's far too soon to get worried about the item.

The item was processed at the gsp center so it was delivered there, regardless if there was a delivery scan or not.  I've had an item that went through the gsp that did not receive any scans after it arrived at the gsp center until the day it arrived so the other tracking that you showed isn't always consistent.   You can contact the gsp center as suggested but I would probably just wait until the delivery date.
