title says it all. I am contemplating a purchase from a seller who ships by 4PX courier. Package is coming from China. Does anyone know who will do final delivery to me in Canada?
I'm most concerned about getting hit with big brokerage charges if a Canada based courier has the package handed off to them by 4PX and takes it through Customs.

Canada charges duty and sales taxes on imports valued over $20Cdn.
You know your provincial sales tax rate, and here are the duty rates.

To my knowledge Canada has no "free trade" agreements with China which would reduce those fees.
You never have to pay a courier "customs brokerage fees". You can instead broker the item through customs yourself.
However, remember that your time is also valuable. Here in BC the minimum wage is 25c a minute.
Most import terminals are near the airport, a longish drive, and as an amateur, it will take you longer to negotiate the paperwork.
I agree that brokerage fees are a profit centre for couriers (Canada Post does it for $9.95 and they have a well paid, unionized staff) but it may be cheaper to pay than to take time from paid employment to do it yourself.

Amazon/Intelcom does that. And UPS/Fedex will too if you sign up for delivery updates. The couriers don't ring the doorbell....for the most part. As for the ph and/or email address it is a requirement for courier shipments. Has been for years.

Thank you for information.
I never buy anything from Amazon but know they take pictures on delivery.
All Delivery Companies I use came to Door to pay Customs OR leave Card where to pick up item.
If doesn't req. Signature they left on front door parcels.
Last month UPS leave Order $ CDN 2000 Value in front and never send me mail OR pictures .No signature either .
They might take pics. for their safety , but send it to Customer I never experienced .
I didn't sign anything with Delivery preferences , never heared about UniUni .Didn't have chance to Track Order OR see anty Information about carriers .
The Seller choose Global shipping .
UniUni worker did his job and evrything is OK about him/her..

Unfortunately what couriers etc state at their websites regarding secure delivery and what the receiver actually gets are 2 different things. There is very little in the way of consistency, especially when you toss in a different driver on the route. Sadly one of the downgrades with increased shipments and carry over from covid special handling requirements. It's nice for eBay to suggest signature is required. Would be even better if couriers/Postal Service would follow through. Can't remember the last time I actually signed for a parcel. (Where it was either paid for as an add on service or included.)

Uniuni is a new last-mile delivery company. Started in Vancouver BC in 2019. Expanded across Canada in 2022. In the process of expanding across the USA in 2023.
Most of their delivery drivers are not Uniuni employees, they are just temp drivers. So the buyer delivery experience will depend on luck of whether they get someone who knows what to do, or someone faking it.
My brother's uniuni package experience over the last couple of months has been 3 crushed/damaged, 1 dropped at the wrong location, and 2 that were okay. His current "winner" in the worst delivery company category.

For what it's worth, I found a listing for one 4PX outlet in Burnaby (suburb of Vancouver) and four in the GTA. There may be others in Canada. Reviews on the Burnaby outlet were largely complaints about delivery, but they did date back a year or two. 4PX may have been experimenting with temporary or contracted out drivers at that point but not now as I suspect these outlets' purpose is more to set up deliveries rather than make them.
