Did not pass inspection at international hub

Just got this for tracking, bought a computer motherboard. Tracking shows item can't be delivered as it didn't pass inspection at the national hub.

Bought from US seller, item coming to Canada.

What does that mean, what happens next?

Will I get the board? Its needed to replace another of the same thats malfunctioning.

As there are two messages on that screenshot that state that eBay International Shipping is unable to deliver your item, I’d say that the odds of your receiving it are none.

If you don’t automatically receive a refund by the last estimated delivery date, file a claim through the Money Back Guarantee process. You’ll get your funds back from eBay, rather than the seller.

Sorry this important purchase didn’t work out.

Wonder why it wouldn't be able to be shipped? Ordered the same board from a different seller a few months ago, and it came without issue. Need another, and ordered this one. Didn't think there'd be issues. First time I've had this happen, so unsure what to do.

Also, I don't take can't or no, or anything short of getting my item as a valid answer.

Is there any way I can call the ebay shipping center and try to get them to send it anyways?

It means do not buy from eBay sellers that ship to the international hub because they got all sorts of issues going on over there. I would buy from Newegg or Amazon for items of that nature.

Bear in mind, that if the seller does not supply the proper documentation, customs info, etc when shipping item to the International Hub, that can be cause/reason for rejection of items to be forwarded beyond the International hub.

Safest bet is still to purchase through a reputable retailer as they have the proper systems and knowledgable staff shipping cross-border with no cause for concern.

The seller doesn't need to supply customs documentation for an item that's going to be forwarded by eIS.  That's the job of eIS.  However, eIS does need relevant information to create that documentation, and looking at the listing page for the motherboard, the "Item Specifics" section really doesn't contain any information that eIS would require for creating a customs document of any kind.

This lack of information on the motherboard from the seller may be the reason why it dead-ended at the eIS hub, @devicemodder16.

There is another option. I have a forwarder in Florida called Myus.com and I typically send my packages there for sellers that do not ship out of country either on eBay or other e-commerce sites.

That actually makes a lot of sense. Sent the seller a message, asking if they can investigate.

But I am specifically looking for older hardware in odd form factors that newegg and Amazon don't carry.

I do have a forward2me address that I use when shopping in .eu sites, and they do have a US forwarding address... looks like I'll have to update my ebay addresses.

On several occasions I’ve suggested on this discussion forum that buyers use their own forwarding service if they don’t wish to use eBay’s and the seller is unwilling or unable to ship directly to Canada. However, this comes with the caveat that buyers forego most of their eBay purchase protections by going this route and they’re at the mercy of the forwarding agent in the event the item is lost or damaged in transit.

True but I’ve been using Myus for 3 years now with 100’s of packages going through their warehouse and no issue so far. They take photos of every item that arrives and if there is a issue they would be accountable.

Risk involved with everything my friend. Just higher risk when shipping to eBay international forwarding hub as they have a terrible system and don’t look into missing items.

MyUS is definitely one of the more reputable international forwarding agents out there, but there are ones that aren’t as ethical.
