EBay removed sent message category

Hi, I am not sure how to use this forum, or even how to follow a thread, do they notify you when an answer appears?

Anyway today I was going through my messages because I had some weird eBay stuff sent to me in my mail. So I went searching for the sent mail category. I spoke with eBay and was basically told the category, because of the latest update, has been removed.

This bothers me because  I would like to have a record of my sent mail in case I need it to back up any purchases or conversations I have had.

Does this bother anyone else, or is it just me.

Also please let me know how I can track this message. Thank you.

You can see your sent messages one of two places. If you are on desktop/laptop (browser) if you hit messages both sent and trash should show on the left side of desktop. If you are looking at your phone/app the messages now look like texting messages where both messages you send and buyers/sellers/eBay send are there with your "sent" showing with the corresponding person you sent it too. Hope this helps.

I spent a minute or two this morning filing the Messages I received overnight.

Are you using the delete/archive/ etc folders eBay provides?

Unless you actively Delete, all your Messages do stay around.

@millana-dee   It hasn't been removed. In the new messaging version everything is the same screen so your sent and received messages are in the same area similar to when you are texting .  (Similar or just like on the app). If you want to go back to the old messaging system there should be a link to do that near the top of the message box.  Many people have commented that they don't like the new system, I know that I don't, 

To get notifications of a topic that you have participated in click on the blue circle on the top right of this page and then on settings.  I think that the default there is to receive emails in the community but the first screen  should show you if that is turned off or on. You want it on.  Then click on preferences and check off the box next to "automatically subscribe me to topic I participate in".  then Save.

That appears to be the new "chat-style" message format, which currently does not support many message features such as folders.

If you are using a desktop browser, there should be a link to revert to the "classic" format (where folder options still work) in the lower right corner of the main message in box page -- you may have to change the zoom level of the page or scroll down to see it. In most PC browsers, you can hold down the Control key and use plus, minus or zero keys to zoom in, zoom out or reset the zoom level.

You have 3 messages on the bottom not from eBay.  One of those must be from a buyer Tharp you replied to or sent a message from.  If you click on the message you should see all received/sent.
