Same unique carved item sold a dozen times

The item, 5.99LB Natural glossy Malachite Handcarved Elephant, is up for sale again in 2 days.   The exact same item has already sold a dozen times!  What's going on?

I’m not going to weigh in on the claim that the carving is “handmade” but I notice there are quite a few of these carvings currently on sale on eBay and other sites. My guess is that the seller has a few of these but isn’t bothering to change the picture.

I was going to say that the seller and/or buyer was shocked by the cost of international shipping for a 6lb fragile item and cancelled the orders.

But then I saw it ships from China.

It may be handcarved, but let's be honest, this is no more the work of an artist or craftsman  than the carp dishes you see in Chinese restaurants, which are hand painted btw not transfer, are the work of artists.

And to confirm that, read the Description

"You will receive a similar item."

The nature of the malachite would make each one the Ugyar slave worker turns out unique.
