Should I do anything about this or leave it

HI Everyone,

I put in a bid for  RC ESC and motors, the seller description is

 4xTurnigy Plush-32 30AMP Speed Controllers 5.5V/4A SBEC 2S 4S Lipo ESC+ motors!. Condition is Used.plus hobby king D4023-850
Brushless motors!

Since the seller states that there is 4 x ECS but no mention of the amount of motors, so I take a look at the picture with the listing and it shows 4 ESC and 5 motors. I get the package and it indeed has 4x ESC but only 4 motors with one being unusable since it has not mount.  To me it feels like the picture was setup in a way to show the 4 motors having mounts and the one without tilted in a way to hide the fact that it had no mount.

Any ways I contacted the seller stating my concerns and the only reply I receive was , "t's preety clear in the description, not sure what else to say?"

Tried messaging back but never heard back from them.

My question is what should I do? leave bad review, ask for refund, or partial refund or just let it be?

Re: Should I do anything about this or leave it

Do you want to keep what you got?

Is it fit for your purposes?

Would you have to throw out/dispose of the unusable parts?

Was the price for what you got reasonable?

Since you are not happy you have three choices.

  • You can contact the seller and politely explain your disappointment. Do not ask for a partial refund, which would be what most would do, because that makes the seller think you are kinda sketchy.  He may offer money. He may send a replacement/missing part. He may tell you to pound sand. He seems to have opted for the sand.
  • You can open an Item Not As Described Dispute. The usual response is that you will be refunded when you ship the ENTIRE lot back to the seller. It is likely that he will be required to send you a shipping label. This is actually fairly easy from the USA, more difficult from overseas.  Or you may be required to pay for return shipping.
  • You can leave feedback. The most effective feedback is calm and factual. EBay does not use feedback to assess seller accounts. Few buyers ever read feedback. It is only your opinion.

Feedback is the last option and the least useful.
