Hello, not sure where else to write this and hopefully an eBay rep will see this.
I keep getting temporary buying limits put on my account which is extremely frustrating when trying to bid on time-sensitive auctions. I pay instantly on all Buy It Now purchases, have over 100 successful transactions (some valued over $1000) and have 100% positive feedback. For some reason though eBay keeps blocking me from even bidding on auctions. The only reason I can think of is that I have a few cancelled orders out of over 100, and almost all of them were due to a seller error who either didn't have the item, couldn't ship it to me, or just decided to cancel the order. I think it's unfair that I am being blocked from making purchases as such a reliable and successful buyer on this site. At the every least, eBay needs to make it possible to check our buying limit at any time as far too often I am watching an auction for days and just as I try to bid I am blocked and I lose the auction. Extremely frustrating and something needs to be done about this.

If ebay was limiting you from buying they would have let you know why. Have you received a message saying that you are restricted from buying and why?
Have you had 2 or more unpaid item strikes against you in the last year? If you have, it’s likely that you are being blocked by sellers who automatically block buyers with 2 or more unpaid strikes in the past 12 months. If that is the situation, you will probably continue to have problems bidding on some auctions until the strikes drop off.

"I pay instantly on all Buy It Now purchases"
This is not an indicator that you are a great buyer since most B-i-N auctions are set to demand immediate payment.
"I .... have 100% positive feedback." Also not an indicator of an honest buyer since it is not possible for a buyer to have less than 100% positive feedback.
"I have a few cancelled orders out of over 100, and almost all of them were due to a seller error..." Almost all of them? Tell us about the other ones that weren't in the "almost all of them".
"a seller ... who ... just decided to cancel the order" Sellers don't just throw away a sale for no reason at all. My guess is that you did something or wrote something in a message that triggered a seller to block you. Have you ever tried to re-negotiate the price after winning an auction? Or asked about the condition of an item?
"a seller ... who .. couldn't ship it to me". Or wouldn't?
How many times have you won an item then failed to pay for it?
"I think it's unfair that I am being blocked from making purchases as such a reliable and successful buyer on this site"
Reading between the lines from a seller's perspective, I think you are a bad buyer.
"Extremely frustrating and something needs to be done about this."
You are new to ebay (2 months), you need to straighten out your act and follow the rules. You are likely on several seller's blocked bidders list, which means no matter how good of an ebay buyer you become, you can never buy from them. Ever.

I often read posts about sellers cancelling sales, usually auctions because they want to get more for the item. Or because they can’t find the item or they have a ‘bad’ feeling about the buyer or ......
It is not necessarily the buyers fault when a transaction is cancelled.

If you want to continue buying Yugigoh cards on eBay you can do two things.
Confirm that the seller ships to Canada. Just look at the Shipping tab for Blocked destinations.
Do this BEFORE buying.
Don't bid in Auctions.
If you use Fixed Price/Immediate Payment Required to purchase, you will not only have a larger number of items to bid on (Auctions are less than 15% of eBay listings, and most of those have a Buy It Now option), but will be allowed to purchase and pay from any seller who has not specifically Blocked you, even from those who Block deadbeats with Strikes.

You may be running into a bidding limit if you have many current outstanding purchases, bids or offers.
Here is some general info about bidding/buying limits:
https://www.ebay.ca/help/buying/buying-limits/buying-restrictions?id=4012
Aside from adding a valid credit card or payment method to your account and paying for any outstanding purchases, you can minimize the chances of running into your bidding limit by bidding on one item at a time, and bidding your maximum amount once, late in the auction, and waiting until the auction has ended and you have either won and paid, or been outbid and lost before bidding on the next item.

If you are saying that if a buyer has 2 or more strikes they can buy from a seller who has that block set up as long as the buyer uses the buy it now option? I don’t think it works like that....they should be blocked regardless if they are bidding or if they use buy it now,

Not the Buy It Now option on an Auction listing.
The Immediate Payment Required option on a Fixed Price listing.
The buyer does not have the possibility of becoming a deadbeat again, since, if he doesn't pay up immediately, the listing is still available for purchase.

I was having the same issue on my laptop....ebay and the seller were unable to resolve, and frankly ebay suggested several time that I should contact the seller and do this or that...not acceptable. The other day i logged on and bid without limitations on my cell. Tried again on my laptop and limits still existed . So it appears it may be on my end but for the life of me I cant figure ir out...its as if my ip is limited to one bid at a time on laptop!
