Re: Whats up with China ?

I have no idea of the last 60 bits and pieces I order from China I have had 25 INR cases.  And it looks like a few more later this week.

And the item just never shows up.

It is an ongoing problem that items from China are slow,

If there is nothing illegal about it, you should get your item eventually.  There is a serious problem with dangerous drugs coming into the country right now, and Canadian Border Services believes it is more important to keep this lethal weapons-grade substance off the streets than for eBay buyers to get their cheap gadgets in a hurry.  These here links will explain it better than I can,

Re: Whats up with China ?

Lots of other threads about this.

Slow shipping by sea plus Canada Customs doing a lot more drug searching (without any increase staffing levels) makes major delays.

Plus the usual scammers who don't ship anything.

...

My last shipment from Hong Kong was 2 weeks past eBay's 3-5 week delivery time frame.

Re: Whats up with China ?

I completely understand that many items shipped from China to Canada take a long time to get here. That's nothing new to me. My concern is the increasing number of items that I've ordered lately that haven't arrived at all. In the past few months, I've had to file 3 different resolutions for refunds for items that sellers claimed were shipped but never arrived, with 'never' meaning more than10+ weeks now, That means that those particular sellers gladly accepted my money, but in all likelihood never ever shipped the items to me.

Why are there NO consequences for those bad sellers? A couple of these sellers had 98% plus 'approval ratings', but if you actually check carefully you'll find that many of the 2% negative ratings are from people who have never received their items at all. Since these sellers do such a large amount of sales, a 98% positive rating seems like a great success, but if just 10 people per month have paid for and not received anything, the reality is that it's a complete failure. Barring some strange, extenuating circumstance, that should never be happening. But it is, and in my experience, it's been happening a lot lately.
