Hello can somebody explain why my package is being inspected at the shipping hub for 3 days, I just don't understand what they are doing can someone explain it to me please ? Thank you.

Awesome, that really is good news, I feared the worst for you.
I now need to find out if non working hard drives and scrap digital cameras "Cannot be exported" or this was some over zealous individual just deciding so.
I've been buying them for years, it's only this year that nothing I purchased was allowed over the border.
It's cost eBay $500, that makes me happy too.

okay this gives me hope, I have a doll stuck there already for one week.
Can I ask a little something? If you ever see this reply. The tracking on ebay was stuck in "Your item arrived at our shipping hub. Your item is being inspected." withouth further update? I mean until "on the move".

Tracking tends to tell you where the shipment has been , not where it is.
And looking at Google Maps with a little basic knowledge also helps. Just realizing that Glendale Heights is just outside Chicago and near the OHare Airport can settle a lot of fears.
But mostly.
Don't watch tracking.
Mark the last estimated date for delivery on your calendar and try not to brood.
Watching will not make your purchase move faster nor will it protect it from damage in transit.

I am also having issues with the Carol Stream hub. I had 2 boxes sitting there for a long time, to come up to Canada, and one finally shipped and the other is just sitting there since the 24th of August. Both were from the same seller on Florida for similar items - chinaware. There is so much mail fraud in the US that I suspect people are keeping these items.

Are either of these shipments late in arriving, @Anonymous?

Hello All,
My item is stuck in Glendale Heights, IL since July, 31st... saying it is being inspected for one month... Ebay/Pitney Bowes was unable to give me any answer so PayPal refunded me. It was planned to be shipped to Paris, France via Ebay International Shipping.
Do I have a chance to get the package, or am I dreaming?
Thanks in advance 🙂

No.
If it was in Glendale Heights, it was waiting to be loaded, with a bunch of other packages, into a flight to Europe.
Usually Rotterdam I think, then on to France. It's been a while since I was booking air flights for my bosses. There's a hub in the Netherlands much like the hubs in Chicago (GH is a suburb of Chicago) and Atlanta.
It will be moved from the mailstream, and eventually sold through a liquidator.
A month in transit to France? What date were you given for arrival?

Hello @reallynicestamps , thank you for your answer.
Yes it was located in Gledale heights, IL. It was planned to be delivered on 24th of August max. The status has not changed though. No more info about any updated tracking number, even ebay doesn't know (what a "service"!!!). Unfortunately, I do think that I won't buy anythink from the US from now...
Overall, you think that I have to move on? 😕
Thank you in advance 🙂

If I were in your position and had received a refund for an item that I hadn't received by the last estimated date of delivery, I'd stop hoping that it would still arrive.
Sometimes this website provides more information on the tracking of items forwarded by eIS. Do you have a tracking code that starts with "EEUS"? Look it up here:

This discussion is missing the point that even if/when the buyer gets a refund they are back to square 1 trying to locate and re-order. Makes customers a bit more hesitant to start over with eBay specifically. There is no refunding for inconvenience.

Especially true for collectibles.
Mass market goods are relatively easy to repurchase.

Hey! Thank you all for your replies.
New updates: The item is on the move after 1 month and halh without any news. A new PB tracking number has been provided last Sept. 13th, with no more updates since: only the mention "Tracking details uploaded"
It seems to be still on the game then... Even though the max delivery date was last august 24th...
Have a nice day!

Remember if worse comes to worst you have 30 days from that last expected date for delivery (August 24) to open an Item Not Received dispute.
Are you keeping the seller appraised of the situation? While their responsibility for delivery ended when the shipment got to the transit point, they should be kept aware of the results of their choice of shipping service.

I've been refunded by Paypal 2 weeks ago, as the package appeared to be lost.
I also kept in touch the seller, especially when I received the new PB tracking number.
He wished me good luck and hope that I'll enjoy a potential "free" item, as he was payed.
If I receive the package, I'll ask ebay how to pay it again, in an honest manner.
Can't wait to share the upcoming chapter, I'm sure the story is not finished yet ahah
Have a nice day

My item has been stuck, too, at GLENDALE HEIGHTS, IL, for 3 weeks now. It is expected to be delivered by tomorrow, which is not going to happen.
I will not buy anything from a seller who uses GSP from the US anymore. I would rather buy items from Hong Kong or China because they at least provide updates and are much faster than this. Sad...

I have an item that has been stuck there (Glendale) for almost a month. Should have been delivered last week, max. Not sure what ebay is trying to do with this new delivery "service", but I do not see how it could be beneficial to anyone. I do not buy as often on ebay as I did before, not as fun and satisfying as it was imo. This is just another reason for me to look away.

Just wanted to chime in too, Albertan here with a $2300 item stuck in Carol Stream, IL for 2 weeks now. I'm relieved to see this is an epidemic. I really don't know how eBay can run this way. I would have rather bought a plane ticket with Flair and picked the item up personally at this point. No way will I purchase from a seller shipping via the eIS program ever again.
