Don't Quit
When things go wrong as they sometimes will.

When funds are low and the debts are high.

Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit.

Pilate asked the Lord "what is truth?" (John 18:38) while he was standing in the presence of, and speaking to, the One Who IS the Truth!! (John 14:6).

Yes, Marion, I do agree with you and I would like to apologize for the abruptness of my answer to you last night. I was on my way to bed and didn't take the time to explain it.
The reason that I prefer the KJV is because it's always better to rely on a direct translation than someone's paraphrase and those words were recorded from the lips of our Saviour Himself!!
I'll try to check back in this evening but it seems that ebay is enforcing their rule about the number of times a member, who has a feedback score of less than 10, can post. I guess it's time to make a few purchases with this posting ID, but, in the interim, I'll just have to be careful how often I post. Oh, the irony!! LOL

No Tom….the movie quote was for whoever likes buttons. It says a lot when one attempts to censor people’s views. Since time began, those who like to dictate and rule over others have imposed censorship. Take your pick of dictators, or dictatorial groups, they were all the same because they live in fear of the truth and being exposed. When they really had power they even ventured into arresting, torturing and burning innocent people. But since they have lost power they now use other tactics.
I had said that fluffypants simply asked a reasonable question, so why would you LOL at him?
Also if Christianity isn’t a religion as you said (yeah I heard the new pitch…it’s a ‘relationship’) then not being a ‘religion’ I can’t see any reason to continue giving it tax free status. From the largest private land owner (the Catholic Church), to tax free evangelists such as Richard and Lindsay Roberts who live in a 1.2 Million dollar tax free home and send their daughter on a Barbados vacation with tax free contributions sent in by their followers who have no idea how it is being used……all these lost taxes would be better used elsewhere….feeding the poor, health care, etc etc.

For today's inspiration. . .
Several years ago, a preacher from out-of-state accepted a call to pastor a church in Houston, Texas. Some weeks after he arrived, he had an occasion to ride the bus from his home to the downtown area. When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him a quarter too much change.
As he considered what to do, he thought to himself, 'You'd better give the quarter back. It would be wrong to keep it.' Then he thought, 'Oh, forget it, it's only a quarter. Who would worry about this little amount? Anyway, the bus company gets too much fare; they will never miss it. Accept it as a 'gift from God' and keep quiet.'
When his stop came, he paused momentarily at the door, and then he handed the quarter to the driver and said,'Here, you gave me too much change.'
The driver, with a smile, replied, 'Aren't you the new preacher in town? I have been thinking a lot lately about going somewhere to worship. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too much change. I'll see you at church on Sunday.'
When the preacher stepped off of the bus, he literally grabbed the nearest light pole, held on, and said, 'Oh God, I almost sold your Son for a quarter.'
Our lives are the only Bible some people will ever read. This is an example of how much people watch us as Christians and will put us to the test! Always be on guard -- and remember -- You carry the name of Christ on your shoulders when you call yourself 'Christian.'
Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.
I'm glad a friend forwarded this to me as a reminder that I am a walking testimony. God bless you; I hope you are having a wonderful day! If you do not pass this on to anybody, nothing bad will happen. God's love for you is not dependent on e-mail. If you do, you will have ministered to someone.
The will of God will never take you to where the Grace of God will not PROTECT you...

How very true Nellie ... and how easily we forget it sometimes. It doesn't really matter what religion you happen to follow either, if you don't make your life an example of the teachings of your faith, then you're giving that faith a bad name also.
