As far as I know, CBSA hasn’t suddenly made computers and mobile phones subject to duty.
Keep in mind that the checkout calculator generally goes by the item’s category and information in the “item specifics” section of the listing. If the seller has listed the item in a category that has dutiable items in it, you may end up with an erroneous calculation for duty.
