The feedback I left for a seller isn't there?

Does a seller who chooses to sell during a time when mail is slow, and who chooses to use GSP have a right to exempt themself from honouring the eBay money back guarantee for receiving your item in a reasonable time? One would think not! And, if a seller won't honour this policy, and they will be rude to buyers, then potential buyers should know and/or they shouldn't be selling, IMO.

I directly messaged a seller to request a refund for an item that hadn't shown up after the deadline. They repeatedly told me "be patient" and "relax", tried to tell me that it was me that had signed up for GSP (LOL!!) They ultimately wouldn't honour the eBay money back guarantee so I filed for a refund with eBay.

I left negative feedback, and wrote something along the lines of "Seller told me to relax, and then refused to honour eBay refund policy". I run my own small business (off eBay) so I'm definitely not out to smear anyone, but I do believe that buyers should be well informed.

I went to look today, to see if they had left me feedback, and they haven't, AND I don't see my feedback on their profile. Has anyone else had an experience where the feedback they sent was not posted/deleted?

What's the point of having a feedback system if its not representative of reality?

Could you elaborate a bit on this?  Sounds to me as though there's more to this and the seller would have a different story.  The eBay Money Back Guarantee is something you pursuit with eBay, as you did, not the seller.

Your seller does not owe you anything-- that's why she used the GSP.

The GSP is a Seller Protection against Not Received disputes. Once the shipment gets to the GSP plant in Kentucky, the seller is no longer responsible for delivery.

tried to tell me that it was me that had signed up for GSP

Sounds as if she was unaware that she had been enrolled in the GSP and knows nothing about how it works.

There are a lot of US sellers who were enrolled without their knowledge. It is a measure of how small the Canadian market is that three or four years later she learned she had a non-US customer.

so I filed for a refund with eBay.

That was the right move.

I hope you also stated that this was a GSP shipment and asked to be directed to a GSP specialist.
If you didn't do that now or you may either lose the case (because the seller is not responsible for delivery) or not have your "import fees"* refunded.

The GSP seems to carry insurance against claims, and are quick to refund. They don't even want the shipment back when it is eventually delivered.

and they will be rude to buyers,

It is possible that the seller had your feedback removed if your wording was less than polite, factual, and calm. Only you know what words you used.

Mentioning an ongoing Dispute will also get FB removed.

*Canadian duty and sales taxes plus a small service charge to GSP>

I just want to clarify that the buyer wouldn't lose an inr or lose their import fees just because they didn't mention that the transaction was through the GSP.  It's a good idea to mention it but it is more for the seller's benefit than for their own benefit.
