Hi tyler, I just lost another sale of multiple items from a US buyer shopping on my .com listings. She was unable to check out and find the Request Total button. She did put the items in her cart and did not yet pay. Anything you can do to get tech people to fix this? I’m lucky in that up until now I have always had US buyers able to pay me for combined purchases without a problem. Well, as far as I know, of course. Some may have just gone to another site after trying.

I do have allow combined shipping checked in my preferences.

I did offer my buyer alternate ways to purchase but I think she just gave up and disappeared. Not good at all.

Me again tyler! Do you know when Turbo Lister is retiring? I heard something about July but never did receive any email telling me it was retiring or when. Is it beginning or end of July or? Need time to learn a new listing program.
Thanks!

Hi Tyler: Could you explain clearly, or give me a link to explain the new PM deal. I don't think I got an email, I am almost 78 years old and these changes are so hard. I still don't use Hub, and am very happy to continue the way I was using.

I am Canadian but sell in US dollars, about 90% of my buyers are from the US, so this works best for me, but I have seen all kinds of potential  problems coming up when I have to sign up for PM.

I appreciate your help.

They can't find it or it isn't working for them?  If it is a matter of not seeing it, it is in the top right of the cart. Since many of your listings are patterns and similar sizing, have you tried setting up combined shipping rules for those listings?

@triber   I think you mean Managed Payments.

I am particularly interested in knowing if I will be able to use my US bank (not a US dollar account a bank in the USA) to handle payments in US dollars.

And if those US dollar payments come from non-US customers, can they be deposited directly into my US bank?

Hi @msmaggie060  - that's super frustrating! Can you tell me a bit more about the potential sale? Was it part of a markdown or any other promotion? Items that are on sale are not able to have the 'request total' button pressed since you're already offering a discount.

To @pjcdn2005's point, you may have an opportunity to set up some combined shipping discount rules that can help you with this. Would you mind starting a new thread with the item numbers that the member was trying to buy? I'll have a look. 🙂

Hi @msmaggie060 - I don't have a firm date yet, but I have heard that it is definitely in July!

Hi @triber - that's a tall order, but I'll give a try!

At it's core, this is what managed payments is about:

  • Currently payments from your buyers are handled by PayPal - they oversee the movement from a buyer's card or bank, to your PayPal account.

  • eBay managed payments means that eBay will oversee the movement of money from a buyer's card or bank, to your eBay account (not PayPal).

This means that once you enroll you would no longer receive payments to your PayPal account, but instead it would be sent to the bank account of your choice.

You will need to eventually adopt Seller Hub, as information about financial transactions and your payouts will be located there, but you wouldn't need to use it for listing or fulfilling your orders. You can still use the 'sell' view for that.

When you receive an email to register for payments, you will be asked for some pieces of information to help us verify your identity and to help us with anti-money-laundering processes. You'll also have access to more detailed information about payments processes and fees.

Thanks!

Hi @femmefan1946 - this is such an important question and one that I don't have a complete answer to.

My current understanding is that the bank account must be located and denominated in the currency that matches your site registration. However, if that bank has locations in both Canada and the US and denominates in both CAD and USD I don't have more specifics on that situation.

I'm hoping we'll hear more as we get closer. Thanks!
