Flawed Tax Reporting - Unable to split reports between individual and business

Hello eBay Community,

I am encountering a significant issue with tax reporting on eBay. From January 1st, 2025, to March 31st, 2025, I have been selling as an individual. Starting April 1st, 2025, I would like to transition my sales to my newly incorporated business.

However, I have discovered that eBay only reports sales to the CRA or IRS for the entire calendar year, which prevents me from separating my individual sales from those of my business. This creates a challenge in accurately reporting my taxes.

Does anyone have a solution that allows me to split my sales between my individual account and my business account for the 2025 calendar year? This adjustment is crucial for ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your guidance.

The simple solution: Two separate ebay accounts -- one as individual, one for the incorporated business.

You're right, that is the simple solution. It shouldn't be the only option though.

As eBay is starting to report sales to IRS & CRA for 2025, I can't see myself being the only person in this situation.

Having to take down my current listings and re-create them on a new account is a big task and an unnecessary use of time. Nevermind having to build up my account reputation.
