Anyone Else Sell on Other Platforms (INR Comparison)?

I sell on ebay and on Facebook groups. On the groups, most goes untracked (buying and selling) and as such, money is e-transferred at the buyers risk. Most of us that buy the gladly accept the risk, since it's usually under $20, we are usually getting a good deal and developed a rapport and trust amongst fellow members.

So... interesting stat for my sales... 0% INRs on Facebook, and 5% INRs (and rising) on Ebay. Last year was only 1-2%, and even lower the years prior. INRs have been really bad in the past several months on ebay, to the point where I wondered if something was up with my local DC - but since I've had zero with Facebook sales, I've ruled that out. I think just more ebay buyers are catching wind of good ole buyer protection. It's definitely pointing my sales platform in a different direction... wondering if anyone else is switching it up?

Many of my items are shipped via untracked methods...

I sell on Facebook,eCrater,Kijiji, sold on eBay until 6 months ago - 0 for INRs on any of those sites for which I shipped items...there was 1 item sent to the UK several months ago that took 2 months to get to the buyer but other than that, transit time has been about 2-1/2 to 3 weeks for destinations to the USA. ALL of my buyers are messaged when their item ships & are reminded &/or made aware of the longer transit times/lengthy delays & so forth.

I guess it depends on what you are selling. My sentiments are more in line with the quote below, but not as harsh!  This is from a poster in a vintage audio forum.

"I seem to get more coverage with eBay than the others. I think the others are full of score hunters and cheap retards and flippers for buyers, where eBay has actual buyers as owners."

I don't have a problem with resellers looking for deals, we all do, and I will put stuff up at an attractive price when I want to move it locally.  Otherwise chances of a sale on the other platforms for anything coming close to Ebay is slim, and will usually take a loooong time.

Can I ask what city you live in? I'm curious if my location factors into it. I still haven't ruled out my local DC as the culprit...

I couldn't agree more with that statement.

You get what you pay for.

I'd add that many sellers on both local classifieds platforms seriously lack business acumen, when I accept your asking price and offer to pay S&H at more than actual CPC cost but you're dead set with your "no shipping" despite a lack of local buyers after 6 weeks, something is wrong with you. I'm not wasting 2 hours of my time and $20 of gas to save $20 on shipping...

Was that posted by a buyer or a seller?

Etransfer, like cheques, money orders and cash, does put the buyer at more risk of fraud but is great protection for sellers.

While I accept that eBay sellers also buy here, I also believe that the vast majority of buyers have never sold (online or anywhere) and never consider it.

I sell here and list on AZ.

Not enough sales on AZ to make any statement.
