Hello Guys,
A newbie question.
A buyer bought an item and messaged me that I need to ship it as soon as possible since its a gift item.
I noticed the payment on PayPal from the buyer was shown as Pending, I messages the buyer about pending payment, and got the reply that payment will be cleared once the ship is done. And its a gift and I need to ship it as soon as possible.
What should I be doing ?

Do Not ship the item until the payment clears! You will not be covered if something goes wrong.

Assuming you're talking about an e-cheque and not the 21-day hold paypal puts on new and infrequent sellers:
Do Not Ship the Item Until Payment is Cleared.
There are two kinds of holds. The former is due to money processing times, the latter is due to seller-insurance delays.

Just like everybody else...
Nope, not gonna happen until payment clears with PayPal.

We never know the buyer will do, to risky sending a good first without clear payment.

While most people are honest, this would be a Red Flag to me.
Not quite a whole May Day parade, but a demanding buyer is more likely to be scamming than a polite one.
I am old and cranky.

Here comes the parade.
Your buyer is scamming.
The shipping and payment clearance are NOT connected.
Do NOT ship.
The payment will never clear.
