CP has been turned off as an option.

I just received an order for Kamloops....1 to 2 days normal delivery. eBay has pre-emptively turned off CP as a shipping option even tho customer was permitted to choose that option. To ship with UPS would be more and a major inconvenience. Unsure why they would jump the gun on a Tuesday. When strike starts on Friday. Even next day delivery would be very likely if it is staying in the same province/city.

Note: Item is too heavy for letter mail.

Thanks @ypdc_dennis

For those who are not aware of the Solutions for Small Business account.

It is available to anyone- even if you are not formally a business. If you only send parcels to your grandchildren you can still have one and use it.

It offers discounts though not as generous as those negotiated by eBay.

Thanks. I really think this is wrong of ebay. So much for being only a venue. I'm sure sellers are paying more attention to the details of what is going on, how it will affect our specific orders to specific locations etc. than ebay. I sold until Wed. afternoon, based on 20 years of knowing how my mail will exit the country for the USA, and assuming that I could deal with any Canadian/overseas buyer on a one to one basis.

What I'm worried about is what they are doing behind the scenes (eg. punishing sellers with low visibility if they don't add another carrier).

When you process a shipment(stamps on the box) in the way noted above, which account number are you using? Your personal SSB #, eBay CP account # or counter rates?

As a side, after to speaking to a counter clerk they stated that if when weighing of a parcel originally is underweight, applying additional postage is not permitted. Only option is to void and create a new label.

If someone wants to use Expedited Parcel AND "stamps on the box" they would provide their own SfSB account number. They would get a maximum of a Level 1 discount, as defined by Canada Post. They do not have any access to eBay discounted rates.
