Canada Post to US shippers - please post here with your experiences post May 2nd

Would sincerely appreciate any feedback from sellers using Canada Post to ship to US customers given the changes that have recently occured for de minimis post May 2nd - good or bad. Would like to avoid any posts for cross border shippers using ChitChats, Stallion, DYK, etc - this is being discussed on other threads. Thanks - will be sending my 1st out today via CP.

Buyer received the tracked packet in their mailbox this afternoon. (China stamps shipped may 2nd, old fashioned way, stamps on parcel and manual COO and HS code).

Will see if I hear anything from the customer. (I'm assuming if they owed a tariff the post office wouldn't have dropped it in their mailbox but time will tell).

1st item sent - vintage cast Iron metal trivet with non CN CoO marks - cleared customs in less than 24 hours through ISC New York. On it's way to buyer via USPS.

Re: Canada Post to US shippers - please post here with your experiences post May 2nd

I have an update on a Canada Post letter!

So I sold some Australian stamps on May 6, I would have likely dropped them in the mail May 7 (but I've been off work this week so I'm not sure if I made it to the post office on May 6 before mail pick up...)

In any event, they arrived fast, probably today, the feedback was left on my other account sometime this morning. So 4 days for a #10 envelope with postage stamps on it to travel to the US.

It's good to know the untracked letters are moving so quickly. I was concerned about my shipping time (which is Economy Shipping on the stamp listings) that maybe that wasn't enough time before they could file an INR, but this went pretty fast.

C.
