Canada Post Tracked Packet USA, entered US via Toronto/Chicago (USORDA) May 1.
Marked as China origin. $30 CAD value.
USPS tracking has no in/out customs statuses at all, would have cleared either May 1st or morning of May 2, so not sure if it was after the change or not.
Final status yesterday was 'Delivered, Parcel Locker'.

My $15 China stamps sale mailed on May 2nd spent two days in Chicago customs, a day longer than the other items that went through, today it is out of customs and on its way to the buyer. There was no "outbound from Customs" entry, just that it got to OK (OK address is the destination).
Don't know what happened re tariffs, will find out likely tomorrow or Monday once the buyer has the item.....
Note that this is an over the counter (stamps on the parcel) parcel. I put the 10 digit HS code and "CN" for the country of origin, hand written (printed).

I don't have an update yet, but yesterday and today I shipped a few letters (untracked) with Canada Post to US. (I will be able to confirm when received once I get feedback or let you know if a customer complains about tariffs).
What I sent was:
- 2 China Banknotes (mailed separately) in a #10 envelope, just as lettermail
- a postcard inside a greeting card with stamps (no declaration)
- a Guatemala banknote (#10 envelope with stamps, as lettermail)
- a Kuwait banknote (#10 envelope with stamps, as lettermail)
I can probably only update if a customer complains, or I get feedback confirming delivery. I do expect one of these to end in an INR (gut feeling about the buyer, even though it's a $5 sale).

Going forward what will become even more critical for anyone that uses recycled boxes is that ANY boxes that reference China get totally crossed out. Bulk of my packing boxes come from my friendly neighbourhood Dollarama/Dollar Or More stores. I normally cross off out of habit but easy to forget to.

Fortunately I don't use boxes very often. (The boxes I get from work used to have stationary, I'll have to see if a CoO is mentioned on the box).
I use eBay mailers (the cardboard ones, bubble mailers), orange craft mailers, and various white envelopes of different sizes.

Would sincerely appreciate any feedback from sellers using Canada Post to ship to US customers given the changes that have recently occured for de minimis post May 2nd - good or bad. Would like to avoid any posts for cross border shippers using ChitChats, Stallion, DYK, etc - this is being discussed on other threads. Thanks - will be sending my 1st out today via CP.
In speaking to a seller who sent something out made in China a few days before May 2nd, it cleared fast and has already been delivered in the USA without any additional charges. All we can really hope is discretion is being used by border officials. It was under 30 bucks.

Second and last one was delivered today:
Canada Post Tracked Packet USA, entered US via Toronto/Chicago May 2.
Marked as China coo on the ebay customs form (item's packaging says made in China on it).
$50 CAD value (diecast car/trailer) / 22 x 44 x 20 cm box
Final status today was: 'Delivered, Left with Individual'
Forgot to mention the first package I posted earlier was for only a small 11 x 21 x 11 cm box, declared as China on customs form because the item is made in China and packaging states this. Both items are diecast vehicles.
We turned off US mail options on made in China items after shipping this one.
Don't know if the buyer had to pay on delivery.

I wonder if the tariffs only applied to items with a post mark on or after the 2nd?

DVD set, Downton Abby, PBS made in US. Shipped May 2/25, a little delay, going to Somerville MA. I will keep you posted when delivered.

Very likely. According to US news reports thats how it was working for containers on way from China. No tariffs before certain date. Tariffs after anything else was on the way.
Who knows? It could be date label was created or date processed at PO. They have to have some sort of on off switch to whatever they are doing.

For my part, I have multiple packages sent to the USA this week.
Nothing made in china (I have created a business policy for all items made in china and blocked the States from there... At first I wanted to still send it, but I decided not to... Don't need the hassle right now).
Everything went through customs. I'm keeping my eyes on the tracking. Maybe just a bit slower than normal, but nothing too much.
Note that I take care of filling the Country of Origin appropriately. I also enter the tariff code correctly.
For my USA packages, I use eBay labels because it's the cheaper right now.

Shipped with Canada Post?

Yes, shipped with Canada Post.

I only ship Canada Post, and everything zooms through customs within 1-2 days. There are zero delays. Why would there be?
Unless you are shipping untracked items, misidentified/did not use the correct HS codes, or trying to shield the "country of manufacture" on your shipments and the items you're selling, I would not expect delays.
But I would expect fines if I were trying to circumvent the rules and policies on Custom rules so shippers beware!
As for the rest of the Trump Parade, I do not care...
Canada Post strike, unlikely as the new PM will intervene in that nonsense, unlike the snowflake that just melted away.

About to do a bunch of listings, great tip about the business policy. I will be listing China items on .ca for Canada. Including a 2 pack of HP ink where 1 cart is Malaysia and the other is China 🤣

I'm going to do the same thing (set up a business policy for HK/China).
I've got stamp collections to list (Hong Kong wasn't even part of China when these stamps were issued), and some coins too, the coins are no less than 100 years old (so part of the British Hong Kong).

I ship a lot to the USA. Zero issues so far. I send items with Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Canada, and USA country of origin. I always include a pouch with copies of the invoice, the full HTS number, and a detailed description.
There are sometimes issues with USPS doing wacky things, like bouncing a package around the same two facilities for two weeks, or sending a package meant for Virginia to Australia, but that has nothing to do with customs.
