On the dot com site I can create a shipping discount that if you buy 3 or more items there is a flat shipping rate.
Is there something I can do for this on eBay.ca? Customers are telling me they have to pay shipping on each one. I have it set up in business policies that shipping one is 3.50 and each additional one is 0.25 (for instance for a token), but when this was tested to buy two tokens from the same category it was charging 7.00 in shipping. I've been getting a few orders of multiple items and eBay is charging them 3.50 on each item.
Would like to be able to do combined shipping. Expedited Lite is not too expensive, I can do a combined shipping for 3 or more items to encourage sales.
I tried to find where I could set up a shipping discount, but it's only giving me the option to create a sale event (I was looking where I found it on the dot com site).

I checked some of your coins. They show that it should chargs 3.50 for the first coin and then 1.00 each additional one. However like you said when you add 2 to the cart it charges 7.00. I added 5 and it wants to charge 15.00 and not the 14.00 you mentioned. I don't believe you can offer that promotional rate thing, and still do a flate rate incriment of 1.00. I believe its either 1 or the other
Did you check this page make sure everything is set up? specifically allowing combined payments? I feel if thats not clicked then it wont work maybe

If not that any of these other issues, if you have a RATE table set up and applied to the listing, that overrides anything else I think. Just make sure thats not clicked on in any of the shipping, I had issues with that once and ebay told me that was cauesing the issue, had no clue lol
If thats not the issues, maybe upload a few pics of your settings for the shipping and maybe someone can see whats maybe not turned on or off?
Good luck!

Canada / Combined shipping - The eBay Canada Community
I checked this, seems I set up a maximum shipping rate of $14.00 CAD (which is suitable if I have bigger items listed), so that would explain why I haven't seen it used yet, no one in Canada has bought more than 4 items to have it cap at $14 (each item in the token/coin category is $3.50 CAD for shipping).
It doesn't seem to apply to international shipping though (on the dot com site I don't think you can do international shipping promo there either), I had a guy spend $80 on shipping and ask for a partial refund on the overage. He only bought 9 coins and eBay charged him 8.50 CAD on each coin. He reached out to me ahead of time and then trusted me to give him the refund, but lots of buyers probably wouldn't contact me and would just move on to another seller.

Thanks for your feedback.
I started off by deleting the promotional shipping rule (I put it to "no discount", previously it said maximum shipping $14). I think I'm prefering the $1 extra (or whatever I selected when I set it up) over having a maximum shipping rate. I can always refund some shipping if I find a buyer has paid way too much.
So the question now, is since I've changed this, does the $1 (or whatever) extra per item work in the cart? Does someone have to actually commit to buy to see the discount? I would think they should see it in the cart before checking out.

I spent some time tinkering with the listings (and learnt a bit about business policies, etc).
Anyway I think I resolved it, so now there's an additional cost for each type of item in the store, so this should help people checking out.
Thankfully I was trusted so far to fix shipping problems, but it's nice when it works in the shopping cart.

It seems to be working, and applying the settings you set up, since you turned off the promo shipping rule, which as my first suspicion was casueing the issue

What I did (in case anyone is reading this later and wants to know how I fixed it), is I went into shipping settings and created rules for "flat shipping rule" where certain types of items were and extra amount of shipping on top of the first item being charged. I set one up for single stamps, coins/tokens and stamp sheets (so far that's what I sell in this store).
I then went to business policies and there's an option to select one of these rules for "additional items". So it seems like the "additional item" in the business policy refers to QTY 2 or more of a listing (then that rule would apply), but if it's an additional item in the cart then it applies the rule from "flat shipping" to add the extra item.
I have to do something like this on my US store as well (but that's another problem with it's own thread in the other forum).
