Generally speaking: no.
You can always find Buyers who want to push their problems back to the Seller.
That said, Amazon does have a big influence on the North American market -- especially when it comes to shipping cost and speed expectations.

eBay the same as Amazon? Probably not......
The same as Sears from over 100 years ago? YES!
Satisfaction Guaranteed or Money Refunded predates Amazon by more than 100 years and is a ubiquitous marketing ploy to this day.

Is twice in the past 12 months more or less than one percent of your transactions?
That's said to be the retail industry average at all levels. It may even be lower for online commerce, because it includes employee theft as well as shoptheft/false INRs.
One thing with shipping labels, if you send it and it is not used to return your item, you are refunded on the label. And of course win the Dispute.
And with Shippo you can even send USPS shipping labels to US buyers.

For clarification purposes.
With Shippo if a label is not used is it a refund or a credit? Anything created with Canadapost is Credit only. Normally 10 business days and sometimes requires a reminder request. Shippo refunds with USPS transactions in the USA as standard procedure and it's possible to pay with a bank debit/visa or PayPal. Canada it's only credit card or PayPal.

I don't remember, but since I almost never use Shippo and there is no credit on my account, I guess it was a refund.
