I just got the notification on my account saying that "Getting paid on eBay has changed" and that I need to switch my payment details.
My question is, is there any penalty if I don't do this now? Will I still get paid via PayPal or will my money be on hold until I change the payment method? Does anyone know when this is becoming unavoidable?
Thanks folks

Nope.
I've been holding out since August because Managed Payments only allows us to attach one bank account and that has to be a Canadian account in Canadian dollars.

What were you given for a registration deadline, Stamps?

October or November.
I've kept the emails, but have been steadfastly ignoring them.
Of my four active selling IDs, only two are supposed to switch over.

Like @reallynicestamps, I'm holding off until the last minute ... just shoving all the e-mails into a folder. There are too many reasons why I don't want to switch to MP.

Haha. Nothing to see here!

I spoke with EBay yesterday because it makes me nervous to switch over. They've already cut all ties with Paypal. If we make a sale, it will sit in our account until we provide our bank info to Trustly.
I haven't done it yet. If anyone has and everything is going well, please post about your experience.
Thank you!

This is an older thread. Please see the thread that began on March 29, 2021 titled "switching to managed payment time line." You'll be able to learn about some of the problems experienced.

I have been switched.
There is a problem and I have put this Store on Time Away until it's fixed.
My other IDs are also switched, with no problems.
But this is really a ZOMBIE THREAD.
