Do you know where they keep the "HST news" on the Government website??

I got a surprise a couple days ago because I saw something about Newfoundland's HST rate changing on July 1st 2016 and the problems it caused for house building or something.

I went to the HST site looking for info and couldn't find anything resembling any announcements for it.

In the good old days they used to mail me HST news or something like that.

I did google it and discovered that it was supposed to happen on January 1st this year but it was "cancelled". Apparently it is uncancelled for July 1. I didn't know anything about the Jan 1 change.

Anyway since I run on all my own written programs I have to update them to include the HST changes when they occur. (Not sure if eBayland automagically does it for folks or not, in my world taxes are included anyway so I don't have to change anything in eBay proper)

I'm looking for a way to find news about upcoming HST changes on the government website but so far I haven't found the right place...

If anyone out there knows where it is, please let me know!

THX Pierre!!

Arghhh I see that NB is doing it July 1st too!

(surprised we aren't seeing Ontario on the list yet!)

I found the place to sign up to have it sent to my email address so that should look after any more!
