Ebay new system "folded" ship to Canada prices into the WORLD. Have had to tell customers afterward

Apparently, pricing for shipping to Canada have somehow (pre-existing listings) been extrapolated across the world.  I've had three incidences of Europeans being able to buy products AT the Canadian shipping rates.  I've had to tell them they need to pay additional for shipping.  These were existing listings that were there before the new listing system went into place.  I have no way of knowing which listings are impacted this way.  Before, non-North American buyers just saw "Buyer contacts seller for shipping costs.

It's another fault of the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad new shipping form.

It's there, but the seller has to search for it. (I'm no good at screenshots.)

And of course, Canada is a very small market and an afterthought for most US sellers.

I'm assuming that, like me, you ship from Canada from listings made on dotCOM?

To me it looks like it has affected your  new or manually relisted items from Sept 16 on.  That could mean that it is a problem when using the new listing form.  When I changed my location to the UK and sorted your listings by newest first, the only ones that I could find that had a shipping cost to the UK showing as 'FedEx shipping to Canada'  were the ones showing as having been listed Sept. 16 to Nov. 8.  It's possible though that I missed some.

The places that I ship to all have  a shipping cost so I haven't had the same problem.  It might be that the new form does not understand how to transfer that particular info from the old form or that it has to be done differently on the new form.  I'm not sure why it happened but just explaining that you can easily see which items need to be fixed by sorting them as newly listed and changing your location to one that didn't have a specified shipping cost.

Yes, the op was listing on .com.  I just did a test and you're right of course, it is possible to specify other shipping locations without specifying  a shipping cost.   You just have to choose worldwide or click on those other locations just under the international shipping section.

You do need to check the listings the verify that the World option is not selected.   I found that when listing on .com, when selecting the International shipping option it defaults to World  so I have to be sure to select Canada.    But then when Canada is selected and  "Additional locations(optional)" defaults to World, so I need to go select none or the location I want.

I am guessing you are having a similar default to World situation going on.

I have not set up a Business Practice for shipping but need to look in to that to see if that is a solution and will override the defaults.

That probably is the problem. The area where Canada needs to be chosen is defaulting to worldwide so it shows that everythng other than the US has the Canadian shipping cost and method. I haven't noticed it doing that when automatically relisting though so it might be happening when a sell similar is being done.
