Your help is very appreciated.
I really don't know where to start
I have a video game + tshirt + poster I want to sell as a package so one listing.
Do worry about packaging my items first or creating my listing?

Because it is not just the game this is what you should do...
Nice display with a clean backround and Take a picture or 2 to put in listing with out picture of the extra stuff you will have a hard time selling it unless your price is dirt cheap ...
Then Package and figure our cost of shipping ..
Make yourself aware of all the fees associated with selling Ebay and Paypal ...
Figure out the price you will sell for and list it add your pics to listing and a nice little description ..
Last but not least ask yourself why am I starting to be a seller 1 day before Christmas LOL ...
Take care

This is a slippery slope to the rubber room. A few people can do this, most cannot. Those that cannot typically go insane trying. Those that can do this, go insane doing it.
You can sorta tell who is good at this by the way they talk. Comprehension of concepts is different.
Go ahead and list today. A lot of folks are off for at least a week. They will get bored very fast and end up in front of their computer, or, so I am hoping! FDPML

I recommend that you know for sure that putting all three items together is smart decision: they should be on the same subject, theme, etc... Keep in mind that there may be potential buyers who may need only one of these items.
You should think what will you do if someone asks you to separate items.
Not many people want to buy unnecessary additions.
Check the weight of these items together with applicable box and/or packet. Make sure that you will have very strong and secure packaging - you do not need hassles afterwards.
Then attend Rates site of Canada Post and estabslish the rate in accordance with sizes and weight.
If package's height is 2 cms or lower you may allow the same shipping cost for everywhere in Canada, o/w you should enter packets' sizes and weight while you create your listings and the system will assign applicable costs based on the buyers' addresses.
For USA destinations you should use SURFACE and AIRMAIL options.
Start create your listing and enter the future date for listing, so you can re-attend it when you notice the error or are willing to change something.
And I always say: check what other sellers do with similar items - it will help you a lot - even when you assign the applicable category.
Good Luck!
