I've read on the US forums setting up business policies allows changes to be made where all listings in a category are affected (to update shipping rates if things change). I'd like to be able to update shipping if the rate changes (whichever service I use).
Anyone set up business policies and have any tips? I've been using SixBit (and am a little hesitant to start a new database for my eBay.ca sales right off the bat), they allow presets to be done so I can change the preset and it will update all the listings at once.

Hi. Thank you.
Yes Sendle appararently has a drop off on the other side of town at a "Dollarama". Not comfortable with that.
I will look at those others. I'm a part time seller and don't ship daily. To keep in shape I deliver most items by bike to the postal outlet. Nothing bigger than a bass drum though...LOL
I have a plan to replace American sales with international ones and hopefully it works as I enjoy the connection with Canada's music memorabilia. If it doesn't Plan B is domestic but in a different niche.
Don't want to think about Plan C...
I guess we'll all find out soon!

Selling Canadian music internationally is a niche market. I buy lots of CDs for music that's from Europe. They are hard to find and expensive when I find them (but it's still better than paying to stream, the CDs remind me of what I like to listen to).

I am not sure why would that attract more Canadian buyers though. You may have to setup Canadian site with Canada shipping and exclude US shipping and then US site with US shipping and exlcude Canada shipping, otherwise Ebay will strike it down if listed on 2 sites same listings.
The US listings appear on CA site. The offset due to possible CASINI search bias is probably minimal. More important is to update the location for your US listings for them to show in Canada and not the US.
The catastrophic issue is not even Trump taxes anymore. People get used to it. US buyers get used to pay tariffs on Chinese goods too.
The issue is how Ebay is incabable or uninterested to touch on this subject.
Chinese sites will allow sellers to swallow the costs.
I can't even do that on Ebay ... even ... if I wanted (as Trump suggested Canadian sellers go F themseves and eat that up), because not only is the US buyer going to be slapped by the Tariff, the tarrif costs is unknown. It will come as surprise.
So what US buyers are doing - simply filtering out any sellers outside US.
It doesn't matter how I price my item. If I offer a 50% discount, doesn't matter. I tried that! I lowered price 50% on items that used to sell 2 months ago for full price, restricted shipping to US only (since I am on US site) and guess what ... ZERO sales.
On top you get brokerage fees, every broker will charge different rate on top that will range from 5 to 50 dollars or more who knows..
Not the tariffs are going to kills this business but the uncertainty and chaos will.

For the first point, I have items that attract Canadian customers, items that attract US customers, and items that attract everyone. Everything is used/preowned, so there are no exactly duplicates. It's not like I'm selling a commodity (like a charger cable or something generic like that) where I'd be listing the same thing on multiple sites.
For instance my Canadian trade dollars are good material for the Canadian eBay site since most of the customers I get on those are Canadian (and they might not buy from the US site if my location says USA, since I ship most packages from NY). I have other items where I'm not sure it matters where I list them, and then I have stuff that is more popular with USA buyers.
For the uncertainty and chaos statement, I think you're bang on.
I had a friend that changed his mind about a subject every week, it was always a new story, a new plan, and a new "this is what I'm going to be doing" speach. His changing mind was affecting my life and creating chaos. I wanted him to make up his mind and pick something and stick to it. I knew what he picked might not be something that I liked, but I didn't care, just make a decision and stick to it so I can figure out how I'm going to react.
Trump and his tariff threat is exactly like that, but on a much wider scale affecting way many more people. When I think of Trump's rules changing every couple of days and how no one knows what's going to happen, I think of this friend who changed his mind every week on a situation. I find this type of behaviour to be very annoying. I'm sure I'm not alone.
