Basically the subject says it all, and I want to transfer the remaining funds in paypal  to my bank. The last transaction with paypal was made June 6, and paypal took  another fees on July 15th which I think would be the last. I wonder what would happen if someone who made a purchase before June 6 request a refund when there's no money in paypal? Will the money be withdrawn out of my bank account automaitcally when I process refund?

If the intial purchase was made through Paypal, then the refund would come through paypal, if there is no funs there they will go after your backup funds, ie. bank account or credit card..

For what is is worth, through paypal i buyer can come after you for 180 days, if they paid with a credit card through Paypal,, so maybe not the best time to empty out the account..

If you are on managed payments, eBay will withdraw funds out of whatever account you have set up to receive/make payments, or in the case of PayPal, whichever accounts you have linked (debit/credit card, etc.)

If there is no available funds in your chequing account to pay the refund, then you run the risk of getting an NSF charge. You can see what account eBay with withdraw funds from by going into Seller Hub > Payments and reviewing your account preferences. You can also add additional payment methods here and set them as a preferred payment option if you don't want them coming out of the same account eBay deposits into.

What would happen?

PayPal would take the money from  whatever funding source is available (balance, bank, credit card), not sure of the order but I'd bet it would be 1) balance, 2) bank, 3) credit card.

What makes you think you might have to do a refund if you haven't had a PayPal transaction in at least 7 weeks?

If the buyer paid through Paypal she might open her dispute with eBay or she might open her dispute with eBay.

There is no reason for a buyer to know whether or not the seller is enrolled in Managed Payments.

If  a sale is made under Managed Payments and a claim is filed it doesn't matter what method of payment the BUYER used the claim will be processed by eBay and it WILL be an eBay claim as far as the seller is concerned.

The OP would only have a PayPal issue if the sale was conducted prior to the seller entering Managed Payments and that was 7+ weeks ago so not very likely (but possible).
