How can I add a flat discount for shipping for buyers that get multiple items?

Since combined shipping is sort of convoluted here on ebay I was thinking maybe I could apply automatic flat discounts for customers who buy more than 1 item.

How can I go about doing this?

I really dont want to go through the hassle of refunding the difference each time, this is my full time income and not a side hustle.

Let me know!

thanks

Under your shipping preferences you could create a flat shipping rule. Since most of your items appear to be roughly similar shapes and sizes, using a calculated shipping rule based on weight or using shipping rate tables based on weight might be a better way to go though.

The only issue might  run into is the price discrepancy and weight restrictions between expedited lite and expedited. I'm not entirely certain how the system handles the 200g weight limit in multiple item expedited lite orders. I suspect you would need to offer both expedited lite and normal expedited options. You'd have to test how the handover works between the two (if at all).

Unfortunately with eBay, anything non parcel, ebay includes the weight of the packaging for a second unit purchase with combined shipping. For any additional items the system would need a way to show the weight of goods only. This is a major problem when you go over the expedited lite weight or US/Intl tracked weight limits.

I personally have never sold many secondary different items but have sold lots of 2nd, 3rd, 4th's. This worked fairly accurately up until 10 years ago when in 9 times out of 10 situations when the common procedure is to refund for substantial overpayment of postage. Sadly most buyers rarely see "Please message for a revised invoice" prior to payment. As for non like items there is no simple fix for that issue. Especially if they happen to be bulky.
