I need to cancel one order out of a list of three, can't see how

I need to cancel an order, I tried Find the listing in awaiting shipment, drop down on the left, Cancel Order, but that just doesn't work, no drop down saying "Cancel Order".

Are you sure the order hasn't been shipped? The "Cancel Order" option is available if it is still in "Awating Shipment" status.

I think you have to cancel the whole order, you can't cancel a single item in the order. But you can go and refund for that item. It gives you a list of reasons for the refund and I think buyer requested and out of stock are on the list (which are two reasons for cancelling, the third reason for cancelling is problem with address, but if you can ship the other two that wouldn't be a valid reason).
