Interesting and perhaps heartening comments I've heard lately...

I've took note in the last few weeks, several times now I've heard the phrase from AZ buyers telling me about bike parts, car parts, etc etc:

But you have to check eBay too because sometimes/often its cheaper there!

And I don't ever remember hearing that before, at least not so consistently.

I've also noticed more "boxes" in my wee post office with eBay branding on them. Still of course not a majority, but more than there were even a year ago....

So that is at least heartening....

I'm always in search of the best deal. That means I look in a number of places before I buy.

In my experience I'm buying less and less from AMZ, they are still the cheapest for many things but more than half of the things I price check on AMZ are cheaper elsewhere and of course there are also many things that are not even available from AMZ.

eBay is sometimes a better option, other "specialty" sites are where I often end up.

In general AMZ 3P sellers are saddled with such high fees they can't compete and AMZ itself has changed somewhat as they are under some pressure to actually produce a profit from the Marketplace. Right now almost all the profits are coming from AWS.

I go by my postage sales, mostly going to eBay and other online sellers.

Those have been steady, with the usual bump in early November for the Christmas rush.

More boxes with eBay branding does not mean more sales on eBay at your wee post office. It just means existing sellers with stores are using their “free” supplies they bought with their store credits. Previously they were in plain boxes and not noticed by you.

It is still encouraging to see that others sellers exist and have sales.

Yes that is a good point, however it is only in the last few weeks I've noticed more branded stuff.....

There are about 5 of us sellers I know of in this community (village 350), I'm the only one that's using branded stuff as far as I know......
