I have not been charged for a CP shipping label since June 24th. This is VERY odd. Usually get charged a couple of days after generating the label.
I did get charged for 2 UPS labels on Jul 1st so I don't think the problem expands to all labels, just CP ones.
Is anyone else noticing this? Any help or info is appreciated!

Canada Post's major upgrade started around the 25th of June (the one that was supposed to be all done for July 2) and that may be part of the problem.

I just have 1 from June 28 delayed. Happens often. Usually takes a month sometimes.
Delays are not exclusive to Canada Post labels, I have had a UPS label take a month to show up as a transaction as well.

I have at least 20 that are delayed so far. I find it very odd that this many are being delayed.

Yes, I'm up to $106 in shipping labels that haven't been posted to my eBay account. This isn't normal as 90% of these labels are Canada Post, and those used to post within 1-2 days after the sale. Must have something to do with the service disruptions/manintenance from Canada Post.
Could be a glitch or could be the new norm, who knows.

There was a blurb somewhere in one of the recent cp posts about billing being on scan. Supposedly in a more real time fashion. Believe that was supposed to happen starting the beginning of July. It's possible that may have only been intended for labels purchased directly thru CP and not via a 2nd party. See notes regarding not used labels.
I cancelled one back in June. Haven't heard a peep back from ebay. Meantime turns out that shipment was delivered. Just missed all the in between scans. Still should have been something from ebay saying...Yes that label was used so the fees are still applicable. Just shows cancellation requested. Strangely first label was 6.51. 2nd 1 day days later 6.48, Both were charged before this blip in no charges. Shipments created beginning of July were at 6.51. (Charges should not be random amounts.)
See post 11. Event based billing.

Thanks for that info, However these uncharged labels go back almost 3 weeks now, some have been delivered already to customers and I still have not been charged anything for the labels.

I don't see how event-based billing would have any impact on these delays.
In my case, all labels got scanned by Canada Post the same day they were created. Many of them have been delivered for days now.

Standard one would suspect sort plant would be the trigger. It's not like they audit packages as they are dropped off.
Previous to the CP programming down time when billing was in a noticeable pattern there was "some" consistency. I have had items billed before they were dropped off at CP. Others charged even before they were picked up at my depot. Majority were usually charged based on arriving at local sort plant within 1 to 3 days later. (Gives them time for a physical audit.) I have had others charged just prior and even after delivery, both in Canada or USA. The only real time there is consistency in timeframe occurs when we have rocked the boat directly with eBay by reporting it as an issue. It's fixed, albeit, briefly to the 2/3 day pattern. I think for majority of eBay sellers they would just like some consistency on a permanent basis. An added bonus would be a breakdown of those charges vs just the end amount.
As for anyone that users UPS or Fedex reports have been they don't bill until item is delivered. Not sure how accurate that is as I have never personally tested. As per the help page on the topic that is not supposed to be what is happening.
All it states now for Fedex is the following: "The cost of the label is then charged to your processing funds, PayPal account, or one-time payment method. and Canada Post and FedEx shipping label charges will be deducted from your processing funds." With no timeframe.

Personally I didn't mind the delay at all since eBay charges my credit card for the labels instead of from my balance, and I can get a small cash back from the cc. It adds up 😌

The same here. Personally, I am always HAPPY, if such a delay occurs 😊

For some, the quicker ebay processes those charges the quicker they get paid. Then less fears of having no balance to cover.

Hi @dinomitesales! I know CPC was using a pay-on-print method but has moved to pay-on-scan for labels generated after July 2, 2025.

Do you know what the status is on the labels created before then...Approx. June 24th to July 2nd that have not been charged?
Also somewhat connected are you aware of a recent change where eBay overrides a sellers setting for holding funds and forces payouts. Saw something in passing about this on the dot com board but there was nothing advising Canadian sellers if this was going to happen. I've had it happen to me twice in the past 6 weeks. First time it happened was May 30th a Wednesday. 2nd time was July 1st, a Tuesday, both times before store fees were scheduled to be removed. Sellers need the option to hold funds to cover store fees, shipping and any bonus charges.
Note: My setting: Turned off
How it appears when it is turned on:

devon@ebay I mean that's fine, but that doesn't explain why we're not being charged for labels from 2-3 weeks ago. If it's "pay-on-scan", and assuming the "scan" isn't until it gets to a major processing centre, then that should be, what, 1-2 days max after handing the package off to Canada Post (assuming the sender isn't extremely rural)?

devon@ebay Can you get this addressed please? We are closing in on 3 weeks with not seeing labels getting charged. Please disregard if shipping labels going forward will be free. Thanks.

So tonight, thought I would follow up on the late ding from We can't use eBay Labels to Create Labels 2025 edition. Had a facebook chat open from the previous situation. (There is no way to really open a new discussion.) After much waiting I got a response back from a secondary ebay employee who wanted to confirm that I was still looking at finding out why we still couldn't create CP labels. I clearly stated in my new message that that had been resolved. She thanked me for my patience in the matter and stated they were still looking into the tech issue. 🙄 It gives the impression their power reading skills need some work. You can't make this stuff up.
I clarified again. Waiting now for a follow up follow up.
Response from eBay staffer today.
"You are correct, there is a known site issue for sellers not being able to purchase a Canada post shipping label at this time that we are still working on to fix for you all. We kindly appreciate your patience and understanding at this time."
If I could edit her response the correct term would be WAS!!!!! So not sure what they are investigating.
As a side there was zippo in follow up from the original chat other than a request to do a survey for if they had solved the problem.

I got charged for 3 labels over the past 2 days but they were all UPS labels. Still no CP label charges since June 24th. This is getting ridiculous imo. Can we get a response from ebay at least?

According to the chat that finally concluded, they are aware of the issue and are looking into it. Just would be nice if they kept us in the loop as to what was going on. Officially!!!
