Is there no way to do a partial refund re combined shipping?

I want to do a couple of partial refunds for combined shipping and it says I can only do a full refund.  I used to be able to do a partial refund, what's the scoop?  Anyway around it?

Well I called paypal and I found out that the buyer used ebay coupons to pay for the CD's.  In that case you cannot issue a partial refund.  I had to send money to the buyer, paypal helped me through it.  So didn't get fee reversal back, oh well.  But now I know.

Yeah eBay coupons, gift cards and eBay bucks, any transaction using those for all or part of the payment cannot be partially refunded.

That's very interesting. I had never encountered that, I would not know what to do either. Now I do.
