Item arrived damaged, buyer wants a refund.

I sold a brand new CD, the CD is OK but the digipak packaging was damaged in transit.  He sent me a message that it arrived damaged and he wants a refund.  He sent pictures.  Do I just refund the whole amount including the shipping?

The buyer got back to me and I have refunded them.  

I do have an Out of office thing on my ebay account but I was wondering if it works.  Could someone try to send me a question and see if it comes out that I am out of office to you.  

I will have my phone for the few days I am in Ft Lauderdale.  I am not sure what will happen during the period I am out of touch.  I think I am going to call ebay and let them know.

I did call ebay regarding me being away and not able to respond to issues.  They made a note of it and if there are issues during that time to call them when I get back.

I have done that cruise but just Ft Lauderdale to LA, 15 days.
