My mobile went *chaching* the other evening informing me that I had an offer. I had completely forgotten the eBay app was installed so it was a rather delightful surprise. After the offer was checked it was accepted. I went to bed.
The next morning I logged into the desktop to discover that there was no record of the offer being accepted. It said "waiting for buyer to complete accept the sale." 24 hrs later I was informed the "Offer expired". The mobile app still shows there is a "New Offer" whereas the desktop shows "Offer Expired."
After reaching out to the buyer it is unclear they ever recieved the offer as accepted. They said that after this experience they are no longer trusting the eBay system therefore we may have lost out on an $800 sale, which during this postal strike would help a lot. While I don't know what is going on in the mind of the buyer (buyers, am i right?) I assured them should they change their mind they may have the item at their offer price and that we have been a family run business for many years and want our customers to be pleased with their purchases. (I have no idea what happened either, tbh.)
Has anyone experienced a glitch with the mobile app where an offer was accepted but didn't show as complete on the website?

When you accept a buyer offer the listing doesn't end until the buyer pays for it, if they don't pay for it fast enough the offer is no longer available to them and at ANY time during the process someone else can buy the item.

Thank you, I suspect this is what occured. It had me going for a while. I talked with the person and, who knows, they were polite but clearly not going to pay.
